So long as we are opening up I hafta admit when I see some one write or say the term hazebro it makes me think of children playing Pokemon.

Coffee should not go near any beer. (Aside- cold/iced coffee is an abomination)

Fruit does not belong in beer.

Balanced beers (of any style) are not mediocre.

More of (anything) and/or "rarity" does not make a beer any more special.

I find the opposite to be true. folks tend to keep their dogs leashed, while the let their spawn race around like maniacs after getting jacked up on root beer. As always, there are exceptions on both sides, but give me the doggos in breweries over the diaper-fillers every time.

I mean, some people do act a lot like children trying to get the latest NE IPA release.

Fortunately, they are in the minority (at least, from my experience).

Or is every single craft beer newbie irritating?

This, a million times this. Wish brewers read that and understood it more than the consumers

Unfortunately, if consumers don't stop think this way, breweries can easily exploit it. And I can't really blame them if it means they can do a couple small batches every month and just about guarantee instant sales.

Come on, man. This is a controversial beer opinions thread. I'm just bringing the controversy harder than most.

In reality, though, a lot of new craft drinkers are running around like they just had their first orgasm saying, "Have you tried this craft beer stuff? It's really something!" and most people that have been around for a while are just like, "Yeah, it's good. You're not the first to notice."

Ah, gotcha. I always dial down my controversy sensitivity about 2 notches when I read your posts, so I read it pretty stock standard.

Makes sense. I do enjoy hearing newbies swoon over Blue Moon, and then waiting to see if they develop to the point of boycotting Blue Moon due to who it's owned by.

Either way, for newbies reading this, don't be afraid to try new beer.
