I wish the comment had been in reference to NEIPAs and not Barleywines.

    Then I could have said - “ I have! It’s called Deep Oat-ing”

Keep your f@!ng hops out of my saison. If you have to dry-hop it, then it's probably not a good base saison.

Vodka on cornflakes is a cry for help whereas beer is a nutritious breakfast beverage.

The 'secondary beer market' has ruined beer trading. Five years ago you could trade for almost any beer by simply offering similarly distributed, $4$ beers. Now, all people want to talk about is how their 16oz IPA is worth $15-$20 a can because they stand in line for a case of them every week. Trading isn't fun anymore.

Psh, standing in line for a case? That's way too high a pp limit to deserve that kind of a valuation! My Monkish is 4 pp, so it must be worth at least three times as much as yours! But it's also so much better, so yea, I'll trade you a sip of my Monkish can for your case of IPAs. But you need to throw in a small +.

    (/s throughout).

I probably shouldn't mention the couple of times (back when I was younger, mind you) that I was out of milk, and put Jack Daniels on my Rice Krispies, right?

    1. People's ratings/opinions of a beer are WAY more influenced by previous ratings/reputation and rarity/availability than they think they are.

    2. Aging beer is insanely overrated (even though I still do it...because I'm a moron).

    3. There is absolutely nothing wrong with "selling out" to AB/InBev.

I've seen a lot of complaints about kids at bottle releases, line-ups, hipsters... How do people feel about those of us who choose to send our personal valets to bottle releases. It can be rough not having him with me when I might need him, but it sure beats waiting in line all day with plebs and cretins.

As long as they are properly groomed and dressed, so that we can easily identify them from the bearded masses, I think it's acceptable.

No - :astonished: that's an admission of a real problem.

    Saké on Rice Krispies.
Jack Daniels over Corn Flakes could work, I suppose.

I disagree. Specifically in the setting of a modern american tap room or a bottle share. As far as bottle shares go, typically most of the beers being tasted are some high octane, easily recognizable, intensely flavored beers. You don't need much to get a full feel for the beer. I refuse to even believe brewers brew many of these beers to be consumed in any more than a 2-6 oz pour.

As far as tap rooms go, similar things can be said about beers here as the beers at a bottle share a lot of the time. For the most part ABV% has gotten out of hand. There are subtle beers that may take more of a dive into to get a good feel about it but at this point most American beers should be consumed in around wine volume servings. Keeps your senses and mind more sharp. Also the obesity that runs rampant through craft beer could be slowed.

Near every "legitimate" dissection of alcohol is done at sample size. Liquor, wine, homebrew comps, those Paste articles everyone here gushes over...

Did you call "Rent-A-Hipster" or is your valet normal?

I don't have a valet per se, but my footman nabs some Sexual Chocolate on the side.
