Crux Fermentation Project • A Not-So-Rainy Day Stout

I just finished my 2nd of 6 nights for this week and I'm having my first Mississippi beer courtesy of my wife & daughter's trip to Memphis last weekend.

Unfortunately, it was canned last September. Looking forward to trying some other new stuff this week.
Here's one of the songs that kept me between the ditches on this morning's drive home...

Spent all yesterday morning chasing beers and drinking...gonna try and take it easy today...and perhaps renew the hunt tomorrow - have a great Tuesday!

Drinking SN Coffee Stout



Yesterday I kicked the Schneider Weisse keg at The Beirgarden



Not sure if the keg was plastic or plastic coated?



Switched to Hofbräuhaus Traunstein Zwickel

 

HAHA! Well, it's still snowing, consarn it. So I had to follow that one up with an old favorite from a New Year -- on closeout for less than 5 bucks a sixer -- Anchor Our Special Ale. As good as (or even better than?) I remember it:



EDIT: About that glass; not sure if the brand is still around, but the great Michael Jackson ticked it.

Literally have that beer in my fridge right now. Gonna drink it tomorrow. I love Belgian beer

 

Had this with breakfast today, a bit too watery and thin on the mouthfeel. The taste though was pretry good, almost exactly what I think of when I think of a stout.
