    Well, well, well... Looks like I got that day off after all (@mikeinportc)... Didn't know it until I drove all the way into work, but a day off offsets any hard feelings about the late notice...

    Brigadeiro breakfast stout from Jack's Abby offshoot, Springdale... 7.5% abv oatmeal stout fashioned in the spirit of an eponymous Brazilian chocolate confection (Portuguese for "brigadier"), featuring coffee, chocolate, and lactose... 2/20 canning...

    Steeler Nation nod to legends Franco Harris and Lynn Swann...

    Good morning BAs! Snow's still dumping down here in NW PA - not really surprising. Today's New Breakfast Beer:



    No new brew yesterday - at this time I was taking Mrs. Lizard to an appointment, after which we spent several hours grocery shopping - Tuesday morning is the time to shop around here - the stores were vacant.

    This tastes way way better than I was expecting. So drinkable but also with just about enough flavor to be suitable for food pairings.

    Good a day as any to check out a new beer, eh?

    Impressed with Springdale's Brigadeiro and Amirite?!, so I had grabbed the other one my store got in yesterday, Good N' You? IPA, canned 2/22...

    Mmm... Real nice... Dry and pithy pale grapefruit bomb, lightly zesty with mild sweetness and moderate bitterness; smooth and clean, soft but lean... Very impressive... Subtler underpinnings of various citrus and tropical fruits, with a nice pine-like element that airs it out like a breeze through the taiga... Features Citra and Galaxy hops...

    Fans of Hafþór Björnsson should be proud - broke a world record in the deadlift last week on his way to winning the 2018 Arnold Strongman Classic...
