Just finished installing a new vent over the oven. Simple tasks are never as simple as they should be.

Did a fine installation job, but Alice does not approve. She doesn’t approve of much though.

 

The storm left us without power for 20 hours and without cable/internet for 36 hours. Don't know which was worse.
Getting back to normalcy.

It has maple syrup in it so that makes it appropriate for breakfast I guess...?

Good morning BA, have a great Saturday! Not much going on today as usual. Might make a beer run and pick up some supplies for my trade and NBS BIF boxes I need to ship out soon. Going to need the big boxes for these ones.

Incredible as always. Got a fresh 6 pack last week. Flavors of juicy grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, passion fruit, berry, lemon/orange zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate caramel, toasted biscuit malt; and herbal, floral, grassy hops earthiness. Light-moderate pine/grassy bitterness. Very smooth finish with balanced hop stickiness and bready creaminess in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, never astringent. Has all the Mosaic and Citra hop flavors I love, with balanced bready malts to make it taste super juicy. Glad I decided to revisit this beer, a top favorite IPA for sure. Always freshly available. Need to keep this around more often than I have been lately.


Amazing DIPA. Flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, white bread, light honey/caramel malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied and moderately crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light resins/rinds, increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Insanely drinkable, never overly aggressive. Extremely dank and vibrant hops; with a nice solid malt backbone. One of the most refreshingly drinkable DIPAs I've ever had. Simcoe, Citra, and Centennial hops. Need to finish off this pack soon. Going back to Ohio at the end of the month again.


Haven't had this in 3 years, glad they hit distro this year. This was awesome as expected. Pour looks lot more viscous than I remember, also thicker feeling. Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty dark roast coffee, caramel, fudge, vanilla, toffee, bourbon, toasted oak, brown sugar, dark/brown bread, and light molasses/smoke. Light roast/char bitterness and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; very creamy, silky, velvety mouthfeel that is fantastic. Light chalky roast and oak tannins; lightly increasing bitter/tannin dryness, never acrid. Dangerously smooth sipping, mildly increasing warmth of 11%, no barrel booze. Glad I have a couple more. Always worth the price as with all of Odd Sides stouts.


Haven't had this one in 4 years. Still as delicious as I remember. Aromas and flavors of big nutty dark roasted coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, and toasted dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of smoke, char, dark fruit, and herbal/floral/peppery/piney hops. Light-moderate roast/char and herbal/spicy/piney hop bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; very creamy/bready/grainy malt mouthfeel; some sticky hops and chalky char/roast. Lightly increasing bitter/roasted dryness, never acrid/astringent. Very easy drinking, minimal warming 9.3%. A bit on the hoppy side, but not overdone. Really well done coffee stout. I should revisit their regular Imperial soon, pretty sure it's the base beer for this one.
