As someone who only drinks from the taps and doesn't participate in the bottle share (I brought one Last Buffalo just to warm up in the line), I think the fest has improved even more.

The 72oz limit is irrelevant to me.

No outside food is a shame because we snacked on homemade beef jerky last year. I'll just snack hard in line before entry and plan accordingly. Or put some beef jerky in my underwear.

Love the RFID addition. Cash lines worked just fine last year but this should speed things up a little more.

Im also happy that they stuck with the 4 DL + random variant equation. That was the best idea last year except the damn vintages were involved.

    Hope to see better taps.

All in all, I think we are set up for a good time and it appears to be well organized so far

Well that makes me feel much better. I just saw the vendor list for this year and it was only 2 coffee places and 2 food vendors. This is my first year so I had no clue. My mistake. I was still looking forward to my meats, cheese, and crackers though.

Believe me, there are plenty of 3 Floyds food booths and they are all excellent

Sounds like you will tie it to a credit card ahead of time using their website.

Yeah they run a food truck out of there too, so I would guess they're aware. Fun fact: the owner of Grindhouse used to work the kitchen at floyds, before they had creme fraiche on pizza.

    Couple random thoughts:

    1) Much like the back pack size limits that people freaked out about in years past, I'm pretty sure if you're close to the limit, you'll be fine. It's to keep out the people bringing in 10 bombers... No one is going to do math, if you've got 4-5 bombers you're probably just fine.

    2) With the RFID and the less alcohol, I'd really like to see a couple more beer booths around with better signage. I don't recall how many there were last year, 4-5? A couple extra would be nice.

    3) MOTHER FUCKING PIG DESTROYER!!!!

    DISCLAIMER: ACTUAL INFORMATION ALERT!!!!!

In conjunction with the bottle share law that passed a few years ago, only beer is allowed to be shared. Under Indiana law, mead and cider are considered wine.

So the real question is whether security or on-site law enforcement will look closely enough and/or care. I'll leave it to the actual delinquents and bigger Judas Priest fans who've attempted this in the past two years to comment.

Breaking the law, breaking the lawwwwwwww...

It was pork, not brisket. Also, I think it was Margaret Thatcher who dropped that piece of meat.

They're just waiting until after ticket sales to announce this years ALL VINTAGE tote bags. The variants all got infected when the brewery burned down.

One doesn't have to use the bracelet for in-fest purchases at all.

Yay! Saw the DLD announcement and jumped back on BA for the first time in almost a year to check the only thread I follow. 30 pages deep already, excellent work! Has this group already addressed (without me reading all 30 pages) the 72 once limit and no reentry with beer situation? Seems like consensus on Reddit is that you can come back in with beer, just gotta wait in the regular line instead of the quick entry line. Missed y'all. Psyched!

What options do I have if I need to sell a ticket? My wife wants to go but would like the option to opt out. How difficult would it be to sell the ticket and coordinate meeting up (since per rules we have to enter together although in the past I’ve never seen them check on his when I’ve entered). Any thoughts?

You could potentially meet up with someone at the festival and have them go in with you. That's the only option you have for resale.

How exactly will the RFID's wristbands work? Once scanned at the entrance they're activated? I can already see people trying to use multiple wristbands for more allotments.
