Allow me to piggyback off of you, sir. If I "sessioned" beers, Brawler would be at the top of the list if I had access to it. I don't session beers, though. I just drink a bunch of beers.

Really enjoyed this one too, however I have trouble drinking more than a few in a row, as the sweetness can overtake my tastebuds too easily.

I know 5% isn't considered Session, but I am really digging what Celis in Austin is putting out, their Citrus Grandis comes in at 5% and is a real nice east coast IPA, the Witbier and Pale Bock are extra solid at 4.9%. Finding those always in my fridge along with Sumpin Easy banging in at 5.7%

Almost all my favorites from Suarez Family are between 4% - 4.5% ABV, so gotta say my area is blessed with some of the best session(able) beers made anywhere. Will be making a trip there tomorrow AAMOF but don't think I'm gonna try the all day drinking thing lol.

I still haven't made it down to Suarez, yet... but many people I know have recommended it. I was living in Columbia County (Niverville), until 2014 when I moved back to Albany. It's still not that far to drive. My wife & I have to plan a day trip this spring.

Founders sure did hit a home run with the ADIPA. And then the floodgates opened with session IPA from everyone. I ultimately gravitated to the Otter Creek Daily Dose IPA... I'll buy a 15'er of it pretty much every week.

Enjoy, and bring plenty of growlers. You are sure to want to take home a good supply.

You know, it's been sometime since I've had Sunshine... I need to stop by the brewery after work and grab a six pack. I remember a few visits ago though, the batch they had on tap was phenomenal. Best I've ever had. Unfortunately the times I have bought it in the bottle it wasn't as epic, as expected I suppose, but still really nice. But with summer approaching, I will likely be sticking to the lighter options. Usually don't drink "seasonal", but I have been on a lighter/session beer kick as of late.

I've often wished session beers were more easily searchable here on BA. Here are a few I've enjoyed (some more than others) in the 4.0 - 4.5% range:

    -Notch Session Pils, 4.0%
    -Skinny Dip (New Belgium), 4.2%
-Take 5 Session IPA (Harpoon), 4.3%
-Notch Left of the Dial, 4.3%
    -Honker's Ale (Goose Island), 4.3%
    -Pilsner Urquell, 4.4%

    -Whirlpool (Night Shift), 4.5%
    -Southern Pecan (Lazy Magnolia), 4.5%
    -Alaskan Kicker (Alaskan), 4.5%
-Island Time Session IPA (Shipyard), 4.5%
-UFO Big Squeeze Shandy (Harpoon), 4.5%
    -Grey Lady (Cisco), 4.5%

    -Otra Vez (Sierra Nevada), 4.5%
-Easy Jack Session IPA (Firestone Walker), 4.5%
-Reel Easy IPA (Cape Ann), 4.5%
-Slow Ride Session IPA (New Belgium), 4.5%
    -Effortless Grapefruit (Captain Lawrence), 4.5%
    -Sunshine Pils (Troegs), 4.5%

*Well, that escalated quickly! Hope you find it useful.

For those labeled Session my current top pick is Sierra Nevada Experimental Hop Session IPA.

I'm really enjoying a local, Rock 92 from Gibbs Hundred, which comes in at 4% ABV but I can't drink all day, or half day. They label is as a dark English Mild but it tastes more like a bitter to me. I prefer this to any session IPA that I've tried. It is available in cans but I'm not sure how widely it is distributed.

I was pleasantly surprised by Bell's Oatsmobile (4.3% ABV) last year and will be picking more up. It has a real balance between bready malts and the hops; it's a session APA, not IPA. It reminds me of 21st Amendment's Bitter American (RIP) for anyone who remembers that.

I don't care much for session / low ABV beers and rarely drink them. The local brewery had 2 on this past weekend. Origami Dream 4.2% and Hope Not Sporadlically 4.7% . I passed on both.

I got to be that way back in college. Drank virtually nothing but double IPAs, barleywines, imperial stouts... Almost nothing lower abv.

But then I had a really tough day but a meeting in the evening. I wanted nothing but a beer but when I opened my fridge I realized there was nothing I could drink. I realized that I had a problem... I had lost the appreciation of all that beer can be.
From then on I made a point to buy a lot more balanced lower abv beers. I still love barleywines, imperial stouts, and double ipa's but find that I only desire them for rare special occasions.

Session beers have just as much flavor if not more when you let yourself actually immerse in it.

I’ve been really enjoying low-abv Schwarzbiers this time of year. Perfect balance of flavors for my palate right now.

I really can’t wait for Evil Twin Bikini Beer again. I believe it’s in the ballpark of about 2.7%

BrewDog Jet Black Heart on nitro was my go-to for a while. Around 4.5% if I remember correctly.

Also being Ohioan, you gotta always love Sunshine Daydream.

So I don't really session because my goal is to never get drunk and avoid getting tipsy. But, here are definitely some low alcohol beers I like.
Pilsner Urquell is one of my favorites and I just had Founders all day IPA today as a post workout beer and loved it.

    Keeping everything somewhere around 5%

    Modern Times Fortunate Island
    Drake's 1500 Pale Ale
    Lagunitas 12th of Never Ale
    Firestone Walker Mocha Merlin
Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Milk Stout and Peanut Butter Latte
    Firestone Walker Pivo Pils
    Russian River Ron Mexico

Probably in that order if money is no object. If it is, than just cases of 12th of Never.
