hey going there to stowe VT tomorrow for four days. Any breweries besides the alchemist and von trappe that are a definite must see? Also any activities in general that I need to do. Was thinking about going to Ben and Jerry’s factory.

Hill Farmstead, is about an hour away. Really pretty drive.

Ben & Jerry's is fine. I don't recommend the tour. Just go there and get some exclusive factory-only flavors.

Hill is worth the drive.. hell it’s worth a much much longer drive. Especially if you go first thing Wednesday when they open, probably have the place to yourself which is a treat. And the can/bottle list for this coming week looks like it could be pretty rad. Roads might be interesting with the upcoming weather.

You might get a new Skadoosh this week if you’re lucky.

Lost Nation is cool, nothing earth shattering.

Downtown Waterbury is worth an hour or two. Pro Pig, Blackback, and the CBC there is hands down the best I’ve ever been to.

    Hill Farmstead is a must

Stowe public house is a great bottle shop, the guy that runs it, John, is an awesome knowledgeable beer dude. Ten bends is worth a stop for a beer or 2, and some northern heights to go. Lost nation has awesome food and the beer is pretty good to.

Definitely hit Waterbury at night for the holy trinity of Prohibition Pig, Reservoir, and Blackback. It's a 20 minute drive.

Be sure to drive up to and check out the Notch. Kids love it too if you got those things tagging along.

Beerwise, Hill Farmstead is a must and Waterbury has the food and taps you will want.

The Notch is still closed for the season to vehicles, but a fun hike. I can highly recommend The Bench in Stowe - wood-fired food and excellent rotating taplist. Same for Doc Ponds.

Make a reservation for dinner in Waterbury at Hen of the Wood and prepare to be amazed. Heady on tap a bonus. A one of a kind VT experience. The Hil Farmstead of farm to table restaurants.

Two recs that aren't beer related:

Cold Hollow Cider Mill: Old fashion cider mill and country store rolled into one.
Black Cap Coffee: two words, Maple Latte!

I will agree the drive to Hill Farmstead is beautiful, stop at the country store (Willie's?) in Greensboro and pick up some Jasper Hill cheese as well as bottles of HF without the line haha.

Other then that spend as much time outside as possible, enjoy!

Recently did a Stowe trip with my 8 and 6 yr old boys. I would add to the other recommendations a visit to the Nebraska Knoll maple syrup house. My 8 yr old was snowboarding at the time, but the 6 yr old loved it. The staff was great and it was a very informative quick visit.

The drive to hill is pretty, the beer is over hyped, but I am in the minority.

Waterburys prohibition pig is cool and good brews.

If your in Rutland there is a wonder feet museum where kids can play, my grandsons love it.
Lots of good breweries in Burlington if u get there.

Edward was a little over rated imho. I’ve had better before but Harlan was mind blowing. Gotta start dry hopping with Columbus more.
