I am going to Seattle in October. What breweries are a must-go-to? What are the hidden gems? What are the so-so breweries?
    Thank you!

    I'm curious - what's the difference between a must-go-to brewery and a hidden gem?

I think a good example would be Urban Family a year or two ago. Most people weren’t wiling to give them a chance but I was singing their praises and telling people to go check them out.

I'd probably consider upright in Portland both too just because of the location.

Gotta be the hardest brewery in the country to actually locate. Even when the lyft driver drops you off right out front!

But once you find the place, you get to be The Man With The Knowledge when you bring friends back, guiding new people to a production brewery in a most unlikely place.

Also, you ought to check out the bar in the newly remodeled space down there. It's really nice. AND they take cards now.
