Both still there at 1pm (seemingly plenty of both). Serendipity was oddly sold out. Place was crowded with overflow parking in effect (not a fun climb in my flip flops haha). I wanted to stay for drafts pours but there was a 20 person line and nothing but core offerings available (Raspberry Tart being the special beer). Oh well, I bought an extra Kriek so I could drink it at home today.

They had strawberry rhubarb, 25th and kriek on tap for pours in the ruins tap today....

Ruins taps were the only taps pouring anything outside of core beers. The beer Depot had plenty of 2017 vintage and kriek, also a surprising amount of strawberry rhubarb at limit 1 4pack per person per day.

I guess I shouldn’t have relied on the sign/board! Thanks for giving out the correct info

Sorry didn't mean it to be dickish. It was confusing as the board next to the ticket counter only had core beers. When you went to pay there was a little printout sign on the table saying the specialty beers on tap at the ruins.

Didn’t take it as dickish at all. I’ll know for next year to do more investigating

They really need to hire a real bar manager, a social media manager and overhaul their website...I love their beer and their old world leanings, but it's 2018, some things just need to be done.

Had a bottle of Vintage 2017 pop open on the drive home from NG on Saturday morning. Had no choice but to drink a roadie sodie after it gushed over.

Tasty beer, for sure! Just wish it was chilled....and that I had proper glassware upon my first sip of this beer.

Keep an eye on those bottles, folks!

Real surprise of the weekend was the hard hat tour when the brewer told us he had spent the last day or so squishing peaches for next years R&D.

    Wild Peach 2.0? I'm in.

Contact the brewery. They pride themselves on their ability to bottle condition without this happening, so they may 1) want to know and 2) be willing to make it right.

I left the bottle with a buddy who is local to NG, and he plans on taking it back to notify them this week. All good there.

Do you think anyone is interested in trading Vintage 2015 and Vintage 16 for Vintage 17 and Kriek? I was going to put up a trade but I'm not sure if this is fair or not.

Pretty sure Vintage 16 was at the Depot on the Kriek release still, so that will play a factor.

Does anybody know if they still have bottles of Kriek to-go or did it sell out?

They had pallets of both Kriek and Vintage 2017 yesterday. I am doubtful that they will sell out for a while.

Where is the best spot for someone from Illinois to buy a keg of New Glarus beer? Was hoping to find a keg of staghorn for the fall

I know I’m a little late to the party, but is there any way possible of tracking down some serendipity? I’ve been traveling to and from the Madison area for work lately and just kind of caught the New Glarus buzz and this week had some good luck obtaining Strawberry rhubarb, but haven’t had serendipity and wanted to try it out....

Serendipity should be, by far, the easier of the two (vs SR) to snag. Are you checking gas stations in WI?

I haven’t really looked in to too many gas stations. I’m guessing that’s a good option? I’ve just been trying to find kind of small mom and pop liquor stores, as that’s where I found a good amount of SR in Waunakee

I drove through Wisconsin at the end of July (Chicago to Duluth) and was looking for serendipity.... I found 4 bombers total. One small store told me they haven’t received shipments of serendipity in “awhile”. I don’t mean to discourage you, but it might be scarce out there. Belgian red and raspberry tart were almost everywhere though... and this was was before the 2nd drop of Straw rhubarb so I didn’t see any of that either.

    Good luck!
