Nice enough for 2.8% ABV, but I've had a few similar beers recently and this one doesn't quite live up to them.

Watching South Carolina-Georgia. It's a really good game. And this is a really good DIPA - a collaboration between Magnify and Dancing Gnome.

What's up BA!? Glad to be back in the virtual bar after another beerless week. Did several hours of work this morning too, but it's all good. Solid beer lineup of all new-to-me beers for today. Starting light and easy with Alvardo St interpretation of a Belgian blonde out of a 12 oz can. I love it when breweries put out their beers in small cans; I much prefer the 12 oz servings.

Pretty sure this is a reinterpreted recipe. Lots of the typical Belgian yeast notes on the nose. The taste is really cool but, seems like it there is wheat in it. Like a lot of wheat. Is this normal? I have practically zero knowledge of the style, so I'm not judging. Honestly tastes really good.

Definitely the best of these Magic Rock collaboration beers I've had today and I blame Verdant for that. A somewhat unconventional NEIPA that starts out sweet and tropical, but turns rather dry and bitter in the finish, with considerate hop burn in the aftertaste. My kind of NEIPA.

A little local lovin', Neshaminy Creek is under the radar outside of the region and this is a fantastic IPA.

You'd think these institutions of "higher education" would design the student room desks a little better. Shelves that are only 10 inches above the desk top is a pretty stupid design if you ask me. Here we go again building furniture only this time for Thing 1's dorm room.

Starting with a classic MI IPA...

...just got the vinyl copy of Boz Scaggs new one, and listening to the digital download bluetoothed from my Linux box to the 'Fortress of Solitude's' stereo system...a fine rendition of a Neil Young tune...

Singlecut/Full Stack. I haven't seen this around in a while. One of Singlecut's better beers.

Pretty nice Kolsch. Great fluffy head retention and lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of lightly tart watermelon, cucumber, pear, and red apple yeast; with moderate cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit malts; herbal, floral, grassy, peppery hops, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness; and light watermelon tartness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness; mild lingering hop astringency, but not overwhelming. Very flavorful/refreshing, 5.6%. A little too harsh/bitter/hoppy than expected. Balanced watermelon, pale malts, earthy hops, and fruity yeast character. Solid take on the base style. Watermelon is not too overpowering. 3.63

Very nice session Brett saison. Nice fluffy head retention and foamy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of lightly tart ruby red grapefruit, lemon, lime, citrus peel/zest, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, red apple, melon, peppercorn, pine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, rye bready malts; light musty funk and yeast earthiness. A bit muted aromas. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy bitterness; and peppery yeast spiciness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky hops in the mouthfeel; light fruit acidity. Moderate increasing bitter/spicy dryness, no hop astringency. Very flavorful/refreshing, 4.5%. Great balance of citrus/earthy hops, grapefruit juice/zest, and Brett/saision yeast complexity; with a nice pale/rye malt backbone. Spot on stuff. 3.88
