Drinking this fine Porter this morning as I start prepping today’s lunch - Guinness West Indies Porter, and Thai Red Chicken Soup:

Rain forecast all day...perfect to stay indoors and cook. Cheers from Winchester UK, and have a great day y’all!

Too much sun. Collaboration beer with Temescal and Alvarado Street. So damn good.

Late lunch: Lagunitas IPA and chicken soup with butternut squash...

The sun is off and on now, so I’ve hung some clothes to dry...Mrs. Z wants to wander about and shop; I’m going to stay home and maybe drink another beer :sunglasses:

    So I am!

Weird news flash: Ariana Grande is awesome!

Whaaat? From me? Yeah, it's true... Saw some clips of her on Jimmy Fallon, and holy shit - she's fucking legit - crazy vocal talent, has a great sense of humor, blind as a fucking bat, and ironically, easy on the eyes herself... Check it out...

But don't ditch the missus just yet, fellas, she's engaged to this guy...

    Cheers...

Went out for lunch to grab a burger today and in lack of better choices ended up with a Brooklyn Lager. It was actually quite good. Nothing out of the ordinary but refreshing and smooth.

Just a fun beer to drink, with a ton of spices that just scream fall to me! Cheers!

Clear golden color with white cap and lacing.

Aroma of malty grain with a touch of floral hops.

Flavor is grain forward, notice I didn't say Malt, in fact it reminds me of PBR except not as smooth. I seem to get several flavors, heavy caramel grain, something malty, something not, something sweet, hop bitterness springing up mid palate with no notice of where it came from, something floral that's too elusive to grasp, in short a lot of stuff jumbled together in no particular order.

    Medium-full texture with balancing carbonation.

There are some heavyweights here but this defensive lineup needs a coordinator. It's as if stuff was just tossed into the wheelbarrow resulting is disproportionate weight causing it to wobble and difficult to keep in a straight line.

My post run beer of choice is usually more along the lines of a Pilsner, however, this 5.6% Milk Stout fits the bill just nicely on this chilly day!

    Good morning BA
I borrowed a beer from @Shanex this morning so I could check off the Belgian blonde style...
Looks exactly like a Belgian pale to me, but who am I to question? Cheers all!

It’s a good beer that I’ve had about a thousand times since I was 15. Still not tired of it but I figured y’all would be so I basically stopped sharing it here.

If interested in Belgian pale Ale I would recommend Affligem instead. Cheers
