Today—September 29, 2018—is National Coffee Day. And, as many of you know, coffee beers are a thing and can range from Pale Ales to Imperial Stouts and every style in-between. But what's your favorite coffee-infused beer and what do you look for when getting your double buzz on?

And here are a couple of articles from our archives on the topic:

Creativity Defines the Next Generation of Coffee Beers
Long a favorite addition to Stouts and Porters, brewers across the country are pushing the boundaries when it comes to incorporating coffee into seasonal and limited releases.

Coffee, Beer Chaser: Roasters Gain Ideas, Inspiration From Brewers
Across the country, craft breweries have coffee specialists going far beyond mere coffee-beer collaborations. Taking notes from beer, coffee shops hope to increase conversation and connectivity between the parallel crafts, opening both to new customers and ideas.

    Cheers!

I've always been partial to Speedway Stout, great coffee hit, close though with KBS, and BC Coffee. BC Coffee IMO is the best beer I've had from GI.

I have gotten more into coffee over the years and in turn coffee beers. Some of my favorites thus far are Troegs Java Head Stout, Cold Press Coffee Pumking and the coffee IPA SN did, No Middle Ground, I enjoyed that more than I thought that I would; I will be exploring coffee beers more.

Nobody has exceeded Brasserie Dieu du Ciel! Péché Mortel when it comes to that creamy, bitter, roasty espresso flavor with burnt vanilla chocolate malt stickiness. Mmmmmm, yeah.

Personally, I wish the style list on BA reflected this.
(but I get why somebody wouldn't want it to be so)

Just last year, I was re-introduced to Sump by Perennial, and decided I needed to be on the lookout for it more than in the past.

Evolution's Rise Up RIS (different from a similarly named regular stout) is one that sticks out as a not-as-well-known coffee stout I grab when I see it.

Some coffee pales have been done nicely, but none jump out as specifically needing a revisit/rebuy.

Combining an upper and a downer and distributing it across the world probably wouldn't create world peace.

I also like Prairie Artisan Ales, Prison Rodeo, which is an American IPA style with coffee. They seem to create awesome beer with coffee.

Also my beerknurd journey began with Porters. Kona Brewing has a seasonal I fell in love with some years back, Pipeline Porter, brewed with Kona Coffee. I still buy it when I find it. All the way from Hawaii.

Todd started it, blame it on Todd, but who could ever forget this bad boy that tasted like a triple espresso shot and beer. Now retired but I'm sitting on 4 bottles that I found and they are aging. If you ever had this one you'll never forget it.

Almost forgot this one. Coffee and bourbon barrels. 16% ABV. Awesome sauce for craft beer lovers.
    Aging in the beer cellar.

Not sure if you mean the coffee beans or the beer with the "from Hawaii" comment, but the beer you're buying is brewed in the continental US.

BA Double Shot Double Black is probably my favorite I've tried, but plenty happy to have Founders Breakfast Stout as a regularly available favorite.
