Holy shit - right! I remember that...

I think Shurmur is a bust as a coach - so conservative it seems cowardly - you're 1-4 (1-5 soon) - what do you have to lose? I mean, c'mon, Cleveland fired him... We dumped McAdoo for Shurmur? What's the diff? Now I'm thinking we should bench Eli... lol - maybe McAdoo knew what he was doing when he benched him? The horror!!!

I celebrated my birthday today with a busy day at work, coming home 30 minutes early so my wife could get the boy to a soccer game and I could help coach at my daughter's practice. Then a quick stop for a pizza dinner (with a List Forty Rock Hound IPA) then home to make lunches, give baths, devotions, and bed. On the plus side, at lunch today I got some 120 Minute, Born Yesterday, and Punkin. So I'm going to celebrate my birthday now that everyone's in bed with a fresh IPA.

 

First beer ever from this brewery and really diggin' this. I need to get my hands on more stuff from Brewery Bhavana ... for the sake of science, of course.

wow. huge hit of grapefruit on this...real nice beer. perfect beer to reset the tastebuds...I believe this is a one hitter though it doesn't say so on the bottle



I really really loves me some Cat Power

 

Amazing gose as always. Aromas and flavors of big tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white wine, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, bready malts; light lacto funk, white vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Moderate lactic tartness, and light-moderate coriander spiciness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt and lactic acid in the mouthfeel; some sticky spice and light salinity. Moderate increasing acidic/spicy/carbonated dryness, no pucker. Very flavorful/refreshing, 5.2%. Feels a lot less intensely sour than I recall in previous years. This is one of my favorite Gose for sure, still holds up to what I rated it years ago.


Amazing DIPA! Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper, and pine hops; with balanced wheat, biscuit dough, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight resins/rinds, increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Insanely drinkable, minimal warming 8.2%. Amazing classic hop profile. I love Centennial, Columbus, Amarillo, and Simcoe all year. Perfectly balanced juicy/dank hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, not overly sweet from lingering dryness. Killer stuff.

So, I popped this Two Hearted in the freezer for a few minutes to chill it from a room temp 6-pack. Well, helping with homework, playing with the kids, and getting them off to bed turned a few minutes into many minutes. Long story short, I just poured myself a Two Hearted slushie...and it’s freaking delicious.

8.0% abv.
Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch light tan head over a translucent brown body with some lacing. Nose of chocolate, vanilla, and almonds and peanuts. Taste of same with a finish of peanut butter. Nice feel and overall, I would call this a milk stout and would love to try this on draft. Cheers!

 

Finished off my Hofbrau and now drinking the last one of these. It was a great year for Oktoberfests.
