Righteous indignation was properly suspended for a well named thread. It was fun to drift in and out, joking around.

 

Got to be such a huge and long running thread, sometimes I worried that I was contradicting my own opinions in earlier posts, but ultimately decided that if I didn't know for sure, nobody else would

 

Were you around for that Edward40hands counterfeit stout thread where he drilled a whole and glued the wax back on after draining the expensive beer out? That was a thread of the year. Nothing has come close to that for quite some time.

Probably. Like I said, I'm fuzzy on the date. Do you remember the insane dumbass blinxy guy and the twist revelation and the forty pages afterward eviscerating him?Things were a lot more fun back in the day.

 

I remember reading that. It's too late for me to look around for the link, but it was definitely here within the last 3-4 years. I lurked for a couple years before joining

 

I don't know.... If one had the time(I don't) it would be interesting to see how many of the outraged posters have bought,drank or reviewed a Trillium beer since. I bet it's at least 15-20%. Probably 75% who won't admit they have. That would be a fitting end to the thread

 

Just from a far it appears that the Trillium thread had a happy ending and everyone still buys lots of Trillium.

 

Was that the KBBS Foil/wax bandit that tried to defend his actions as just trying to keep up with trading despite getting his allowance cut off? Same dude with a classically awesome you tubes beer review site? Maybe I’m confusing two different threads?

 

I believe it was. He had two or three different accounts and one of his personalities was a fireman who pulled some kids out of a flooded car or something and should be rewarded with beer. That was just a dangerously insane guy.

 

I found a couple of posts from early 2015 referring to edward 40 hands, so I'd guess it was active in 2014 and early 2015 at least. Might be able to find it if we had any idea of the thread name and forum, even if deleted.

 

I don't remember the name of the guy that got screwed over, but I think thread title was just a picture of the resealed bottle and it said "I think I was duped " or screwed or something to that effect. If you could find it I would very impressed. It's a fun read.

Good detective work! Great cautionary tales for those trading or considering it. Funny how few of the folks posting in those two threads are around four years later, and some of those that are around no longer have the roles or ranking they once did.

 

There was actually a time where the whole site crashed, I seem to remember a period of time where there were no forums. Anyone with a better memory can confirm?

 

There were a couple times towards the end of the old forums where things really went to shit. Lol.
