Since Hill Farmstead is no longer holding official release events, please use this thread to post the bottles available on the shelves along with costs, sizes, limits, and so forth.

It's OK to include the beers available in growlers too. Also, you can post new additions, for onsite consumption, in their tap room.

As always, looking at the HF retail page
    http://www.hillfarmstead.com/retail/

    or calling the brewery
    802-533-7450

are your best sources for up-to-date information.

** Updated bottle release policy: http://hillfarmstead.com/faq/retail-shop/what-is-the-bottle-release-policy.html. This FAQ has been updated on June 11, 2016 and they will ONLY accept a credit card/debit card accompanied by a valid, legal picture ID that matches the name on the credit card (this excludes generic Visa / MasterCard gift cards). This requirement is only for all special releases and barrel-aged beers. Read the entire linked page which explains the changes.

To see what's available to drink (and eat)in their new tap room, click on the following link:

    http://hillfarmstead.com/onsite/

The 2 drink limit is back. Please be responsible. Everything on tap is available to sample.

The bottle shop stops selling bottles at 5:00 pm sharp. The tap room will stay open to fill growlers for the people who are inside already before 5:00 pm and are waiting for the staff to complete their order.

The onsite bottles, for consumption in the tap room only, are NOT to leave the tap room. Please do NOT try to steal the empty bottles. Please respect the rules. Thank you.

High abv beer bottles (ie Double Barrel Damon bottles) have to be split for on premises consumption. This is a strict rule. Please note that it's actually pretty easy to find people to split a beer up there (if you didn't bring anybody). Just say out loud that you are looking to split a DBD and you'll find takers. Enjoy.

    Cans

Posted on the HF retail page and information is usually posted on this thread too.

The cans are mostly sold in 12oz 6-packs. "We set limits on cans, just like bottles: with the expectation of the beer lasting into, if not through Saturday."

    Historical information on limited releases

    @RuckIt
created this awesome spreadsheet for the limited releases for the past two years.

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TGdA6oCRFKUKm_SrUvAhrl6Zuk2g7njqhYCHMFkhTVQ/edit?usp=sharing

Full credit should be given to @RuckIt for creating and maintaining it.

I think it is mostly safe to say our new draft onsite location in retail will stick around for the summer, if not the potential busier days. This keeps growler waits at a maximum of an hour with an average wait of under 30 minutes for a day. Along with that, it keeps two employees in retail and thus has the bottles line moving too.

@PhilSaid, HF retail manager, is the new go-to for your HF questions on this thread that are not answered. Welcome to the thread Ben.

The last batch of BG&E was spectacular. At 4pp limits, they must’ve have upped the bottle count this time. Hopefully plenty to go around.

I could be wrong, but I believe last year’s was 2 bottles per person at $20 versus this year’s bump in limit (4) and price ($22).

I'm guessing, if anything, the limit will be dropped to 3 or 2pp if Wednesday is a total shitshow. HF wouldn't set the limits that high if it they expected it to not last through a couple of days. Since it's BGE and not Damon, I'd expect to be pretty busy at open, but hopefully (since I'll be there) not ridiculous.

Honestly doubt they would drop it from 4 to 2 after 6 hours of retail for Thursday.

I can see 3 but not a big drop off like that.

Pretty sure they went from 4 to 2 to 1 on Art a couple years ago...

The last public onsale of Art was announced as 3pp, then they caught on about the rush of incoming traffic and dropped it to 2pp a day or so before they opened. Once they opened on that day, they dropped the limit mid-dayto 1pp on that first day.

Possibly @PhilSaid (Ben) since he was the last to post in the November thread regarding the Clover postponement.

Regardless, I think tomorrow's weather might make it stay at 4. I'm almost considering not going, but it's only 40ish minutes for me.

It's being discussed in the Mid-Atlantic forum's Tired Hands 2019 discussion too.

Personally, I think this deserves it's own discussion in “Beer News" because it crosses regions and involves two of the most well known craft brewers in the US. It's also an interesting case compared to our typical brewery legal spats. @Todd, @dbrauneis what do you think?

Yep. Otherwise news items like this get buried in these dumping ground threads and eventually it'll be impossible to follow. And in this case, we have cross-thread discussions on the same topic.

Edit: @makalarch took the initiative and created a thread in Beer News: https://www.beeradvocate.com/commun...ates-sue-tired-hands-over-investments.601884/

Seems like the weather may be an issue today. I was planning on going tomorrow after the initial Wednesday rush for the BgE release. May hold off to Friday now.
I am about 45 minutes south. Noticed a lot of cars off the road on my commute to work.
