Most Recent Angels With Filthy Souls (AWFS) from Bissell Brothers. 3rd year I believe for this offering and its excellent as was last years. Way better than the other stouts from them IMHO. Cheers

Great APA. Nice head retention/soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, caramel, toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, woody, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky hops; some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth, not aggressive, minimal warming 6.2%. Feels like Centennial, Amarillo, Goldings. Awesome balance of juicy, dank, and eaerthy hop complexity; with a nice sized bready malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Spot on stuff, would buy again. 4

375 ml. bottle.
Moderate pour yields a fleeting head gone in a minute. Mahogany body with no lacing. Nose of coffee, dried dark fruit, caramel, vanilla, and oak. Taste mirrors nose somewhat with an okay feel for the style. Overall, pretty tasty brew, if you see it, buy it. Cheers!

 

Round numero-el-two-o at the place with the most affordable craft flights in the Lehigh Valley. (And only 4 minutes from my house, even better.)





And can't believe I've never tried Bell's - Kalamazoo Stout before... say what?!!!!?

However, the crazy laid back Grateful Dead sounding hipster version of Sweet Emotion playing right now over the speakers has to GO!!! (Nothing wrong with the Grateful Dead or hipsters but this combo "ain't" workin', I want to jam a pencil in my ear !!! )
