Dates don't work for me. Sounds like a lot of unfocused fun, though...

The first pedant to join the tasting discussion to explain/criticize that it is not "inexplicable" for people to have not had the beers they are tasting should get a "special" prize [i.e. public ridicule].

I'll save my Gulden Draak for this. I'd prefer the 2nd, but I can make the 9th work if I have to.

Either date should be OK for me. That was easy. Now I've just got to decide which beer and how to get it!

Answer is pretty easy for me - grab the first few beers I see on the import aisle.

Eager to see what you end up with!

Unless there are any objections, I'll attempt to lead another style tasting. This time it'll be the dubbel. Be it Trappist, abbey, or American. The date is Saturday June 15th, roughly 3 weeks from today. I'll withdraw if there isn't enough interest due to the beer type not meshing well with the weather. Cheers.

Only one dubbel matters and it's westmalle... Everything else I've tried doesn't even come close... I'm in regardless. Think I'll give ommegang a try.. Saw some double barrel dubbel I would like to try

Not my favourite Belgian style but I will look around. I can always find the Chimay...

Lets do a tasting in November - any suggestions?

My suggestions: scotch ale/wee heavy/scottish ale; English old ale/strong ale; weizenbock; doppelbock

What about: American Strong Ale, Belgian Strong Dark Ale, Quad?

    Cheers!

I'm good with any of those (given enough advance notice for procurement for some of those).

I wouldn't group scotch ale/wee heavy in the same tasting as scottish ale, though.

Would barrel-aged be included along with non-BA (especially pertinent with some of those styles, such as wee heavies, English old ale...)
