Other Half (2019)

To tose or not to tose........that seems to be the question. IMHO, it's a personal choice like chocolate or vanilla. Do you enjoy a sweeter, muted hop flavor, less bitter maybe thicker mouthfeel experience OR beer as it is was originally intended to be, dank, bitter, distinction between hop varietals? There's no right answer here. It's what you prefer. For me, I'll take mine without. It's just beer guys.

 

Yeah I am almost positive that this is the case. They’ve personally acquired those kegs in the past for those events. I’m sure this is the same. Nice to have it around, though. I popped in twice on my way home this week for some Space Hallucinations.

Crazy day at Other Half today. Myself, @Feaor , @rozzom , #hazecats (@frozyn) we’re hanging out. Malcom and Callum were in what seemed to be in a gentlemanly debate on who was hanging more on head brewers of HF and OHs private parts. We were standing near bathroom, I wasn’t 100% sure, but since we were standing near the bathroom, some drunk hopped on the tose bumped into Malcolm and he bumped hard into Callum, looks like Callum interpreted this as a push and took a swing at Malcolm, then all hell broke loose. We tried to break it up, but bouncers came and launched Malcolm and Callum out of the place. Quite ironically Malcolm has managed to not permanently banned on BA, but it appears both of them are banned from OH!!

 

Is this true or a joke?

 

I don’t think the community as a whole has signed off on hazecats yet - so John jumping the gun a bit there.

The rest however is unfortunately true.

I'm drunk and listening to The Kinks, "Village Green Preservation Society", they need need a line about Donald Duck and no lactose in his beer.

 

Looks like the tose made its way west!

 

Craziest part was @Feaor jumping onto the bar, stripping off his clothes and lathering himself up with tose (specifically the dreamiest). Very weird.

 

Rozzom tightened his scarf against the snow and wind. It was a long 7 hour train ride from New York City to Burlington. His uber had to stop right outside of Greensboro due the weather conditions and it didn't want to chance driving on the dirt roads. Rozzom had come too far to let something like snow and ice stop him from completing his journey, so he decided to go it on foot.

He reached into his bag to take a quick inventory. He realized that he was down to his last can of Hop Showers. He had to get there soon. He pressed on, foot in front of foot through the wind and snow. Suddenly he stumbled, and he collapsed into a snowbank. With a shaky hand, he reached for his last can of hop showers.

"You no longer need that."

Someone slapped the can out of Rozzom's hand. A nearby moose picked up the discarded can and threw it in the direction of Gowanus, NY.

Rozzom looked up and saw a bearded face smiling down at him. His vision was fading fast, but it had to be him.

"Shaun.... is that you?"

"It is, Rozzom. I was just emptying the barrels. We are making a saison that I named after my great grandfather's cousin's neighbor's cow Frank."

"I did it Shaun. Some guy on the internet called you overrated, so I got into a fight with him. I did it for you, Shaun. I got banned from Other Half though..."

"Shhhhh. It's okay, Rozzom. We don't use lactose here."

The last thing Rozzom remembered before he blacked out was a warm embrace kissed with the aroma of citra hops.

 

This is brilliant, just brilliant.

 

It’s fantastic. I’d like to clarify though, that despite the hypothermia, I had the wherewithal to respectively say “Shaun Hill” both times. Not “Shaun”. I’m not some fucking piker.

So anyone have the new Medusa beer? I realize opinions on how beer tastes are not popular here but I'm trying to decide if I should hit the taproom and don't know who else to ask.

 

Yea sorry guys looks like I'll not be making this years meet up either seeing as I'm banned for life.

But on a more serious note, I think I had a mild allergic reaction to Tropical Crumble so maybe I can see team anti-tose/adjuncts point.

@SeanEDPBK Drinking it right now and I quite like it, its got that melon character much like the Citra + Medusa from a couple months back.

 

Don't be bashful. The truth is that before @Feaor started rampaging across the bar, he'd gone bezerk behind the taps pulling them all open, chugging each one by one. After kicking one of the Civil Society stouts and muttering "god damn maple syrup yum yum" he shifted underneath the Medusa tap. Upon finishing, he jumped on top of the bar, screamed "MELON IN MY BELLY!!!!!" and started punting tekus at unsuspecting finance bros.
