Now that I think about it, Other Half’s use of lactose kinda reminds me of Linkin Park’s discography. Their first two albums were great (don’t @ me) but pretty much everything after Meteora was watered down crap.
When OH first starting tose’ing their ipa’s, I had no complaints. The lactose complimented the hops perfectly in beers like Dream in Green and DDH Double Mosaic Daydream...but as time passed the daydream beers started tasting like sweet, milky sugar bombs made for people who hate hops.
LP had lost their sound after a while and started making easily digestible radio rock for people who weren’t into the genre.
Was it a palate shift? Did my taste in music change? Or was it the brewery/band?

My friend got free tickets to see Linkin Park at Jones Beach a few years back. We made it through 4 songs (barely) and left in laughter.

On another note, my friend just brought me a case of mixed Tree House beers yesterday and I’m having a hard time not hooking the cans directly into my veins.

Big fan of this AGE. Also, the recent 6-7% IPAs have been solid (florets, go with the flow, etc.). I wonder if we’ll see some single Citra, galaxy, etc. those were some good ones.

To answer my own question, double cream get the honey with motueka/mosaic is great. I think I taste the honey more in this one a bit more than the Citra version, which isn’t a complaint. It just seems that the honey flavor and the Citra are more complementary to each other, and here the difference in flavor is more noticeable. Having said that, they need to make the Citra version of this beer as often as possible.

Nice, and yeah, the Citra version is excellent. I might prefer it to ACE at times.

Liking Nickelback is a much much bigger crime than liking Linkin Park. Not even close...

I mean I agree with you. But when I hear LP now I always wonder what the fuck I was thinking. Pretty much all of my questionable music phases rank above them

Uggh, I was planning on rolling in tomorrow to scoop up DDH ACE with no effort, hopefully this doesn't mean lines and a sell-out of DDH ACE!

We once rented a house with some friends and a boyfriend of someone’s sister tagged along. One night he says, let’s put on some music, breaks out a Bluetooth speaker and unironically puts on Nickleback. There were ten other people there wondering Wtf? but we tolerated it for about 2 songs then made him change it. We also made him sleep in his van that night. True story.
