I had 28 Haze Later right after Foggy Window and although it was sweet compared to Foggy, it was in the same ballpark.

Last batch of 28 Haze Later was pretty damn good, imo

Hmm, I'll admit I skipped out on that one. I trend towards the Pale Ales and "traditional" IPAs when I'm there.

Opened a can of 28HL last night. Pretty damn good. Can’t speak if it’s better than Monks cans since I don’t do Monks cans.

I'd put MT and Green Cheek hazies right up there with Monkish. HPB too but I'm also a HPB nerd.

IMHO its the best NE styled IPA Julian has done, its easily as good as some Monkish beers.

    Cheers,

Yeah, I'm not to worried about it. I saw a bunch still left at LB last night for our regular shenanigan night out.

Anecdotally, I had my regular trade guy come in to LA a few weeks ago, and he was surprised at how hard it is to get Monkish beer. It isn't easy, and I expunged on the idea that Treehouse is 1:1 when people walk away with multiple cases of everything there. It's (still) a madhouse even though it's way less so nowadays than it was before.

I think other than Homage in Pomona, SARA, and Alvarado St. in Monterrey nobody really does the haze game as consistently well as Monkish. Alvarado might be overall my favorite (they remind me a lot of Other Half), but Homage is really doing some elegant stuff and more balanced stuff.

Monkish are delicious, but they are the hoppiest beers I have ever had, and some are hot as almighty hell, like doing a line of hop resin. Very few of the GC and MT hazies have been up to that level imo. HPB has a weird chalkiness to most of their hazies I find oddly off putting, but they occasionally kill it. Same with Cellarmaker, who I think does generally better WC stuff.

Pure, Moonraker and Moksa are doing cool stuff as well.

So, they are saying this is the hoppiest beer Henry has ever brewed. I am a masochist apparently for opening this on the day it was canned, but damn is this great. This reminds me of the good ol days in the wild west when your beer bit you back. Hoppy AF is an understatement !

    Cheers,

I liked that one a lot too, but IMHO this is even more over the top hop wise, crack one grasshopper ! And I'll take avo toast over banana toast every day.

    Cheers,

Drinking the new 3/1 batch of 28 HaZe Later I picked up off the shelf for $15 tonight and it's just as good as the 2/18 batch I compared to Foggy...and so much easier to obtain, at least for me.

To each their own, I thought homagae’s ipas were awful when I had them about 2 years ago, granted things could have changed since.

I only had them recently, and they were world class. They could have changed. After all, there was a time when Monkish couldn't brew a saison to save their lives.

Hoping we get at least a smidgen of the beer list this week some time.
