    Good morning BA
I'm drinking this "Quad" before bed...
The coffee and vanilla really overpowered the base beer here. Really good beer, but I would be shocked to see anyone identify it as a Belgian, let alone a Quad, in a blind test. Cheers all!

I haven’t had a morning post-work beer in a long time, but I had a pretty shitty night, I’m not happy and I want a little bit of comfort before a nap. Still not a huge fan of the cherry, but I feel the vanilla is shining a little more than it was. Really smooth for 10.5%, for sure.

    16 oz. can.
Moderate to vigorous pour yields a 3/4 inch light pink head over a hazy pink body with scant lacing. Nose of slight blueberry and slighter vanilla. Taste of blueberry with a real nice sweet and sour flavor. Great use of just the right amount of lactose for a creamy mouthfeel. Finishes with blueberry pie and vanilla! Overall, I would have this again.
Cheers to Mike for a job well done!

The train beer on my home has become somewhat of a ritual by now.

Royal organic pilsner at 4.8% ABV. I remember this as being better but it's quite alright for a macro brew.

Good morning BA. Messed up my knee late last night on the ice so I'll be doing a LOT of drinking over the next week. Got my mini fridge next to me and door dash on speed dial. Sucks but I'm making the most of it.

Back home from my chiropractor who has been working on my pinched ulnar nerve. The pinky and ring finger on my left hand have been slightly numb for most of my adult life but got much worse last month. Much better now. She's an IPA drinker so I brought her one of these.
    Cheers!!

Dark deep ruby color when held to the light but appears almost black in the hand. Very consistent color from edge to edge with large lasting tan cap and lacing.

A rich yet slightly subdued aroma of dark caramel, roasted malt, lightly spicy as if it were just touched with allspice and dark ripe figs.

Taste is surprising for such a big aroma and appearance. Oh there's plenty of it, make no mistake, yet the restraint with which the different flavors come forth is rather like chamber music from the larger stringed instruments. Resounding but not aggressive. I was pleased to find on entry the flavor of well roasted malt without the bitter edge that such malt often carries. Right behind that followed deep but bright flavors of spiced dark fruit. I don't get clove in the spices, something milder like allspice. Nor banana though there is something that offsets the dark fruits. Hops are in there for all I know but keep a low profile. There is, from beginning to end, a sort of sweetness that doesn't intrude but contributes to the overall complexity.
