I’d like to see Bluebird and Bateman’s back on the shelf, other than that I can’t think of anything that’s gone that I miss. I don’t like Black Ipas for the most part, but there’s still a few local that on the shelf and fresh.

Westbrook has a bigger footprint these days, their hoppy beers use Rye.

Permit me to recommend the Von Trapp Dunkel to you.

    Cheers!

    Definitely! :beers:

Also, on the import side the Hofbrau Freising is really great as well, if you can find it. I'd take it over the Munich Hofbrau, though I enjoy both.

Another vote for Black IPA/American Black Ale. 21st Amendment Back in Black was my go to for several of my early drinking years.

Really fresh Stone SSR was really a great beer, you got a bit of roasted with grapefruit. I thought it was singularly unique as a Black IPA.

I wish schwarzbiers, rauchbiers, brown ales, and flanders oud bruins would become more popular. I guess black ipa’s and Belgian dibbled & triples were already popular, so bring those back.

Yeah, Von Trapp is one of many brewers (Dogfish Head, Bells, Troegs, Founders, Lagunitas, Sixpoint, Cigar City/Oskar Blues, etc) distributed by Hunterdon - seems like if they have the stock any good NJ retailer should be able to order it. I know that's why my local carried VT (unfortunately, it looked like I was the only one buying them :astonished: - the Pils and the Vienna). The Bock was the only VT cans I've seen but hoping that will change soon.

    Oatmeal Stouts,
English styles - bitters, extra bitter, pale, etc.
    Scottish Shilling-series.
    Really well done Pilsners.
    Brown ales.

Imperial -barrel-fruit-coffee-etc aged, or quintuple IPAs are good and all, but sometimes I want something I can have a few of without having to call a designated driver.

Years ago BA Chub was on tap in Greensboro, and that was a great beer.

We just started getting distro from VT in Rochester. Literally just drank my first (dunkel) less than a week ago. That’s what reminded me to post that!

We get Westbrook and I love one claw but it’s rarely on shelves and if it is, it’s not fresh. Now it’s all the gose variations. Used to be the opposite a few years ago.

Out of area beers seem to share that problem. Of all the hoppy beers One Claw is my favorite, just a simple snappy PA.

Table Beer/Small Beer. But ones actually modest in alcohol, not a 4.8% ABV (I'm looking at you, Allagash). Smuttynose had one I really liked, but I can't find it anymore.
