Another HOMES milkshake sour. This was incredible. Deep ruby/purple color, lasting head retention/foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge juicy/tart/tangy blackberry, black currant, fruit skin/seeds, lemon zest, lime, peach, plum, pear, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, and grass; with balanced vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough malts; light peppercorn, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, zesty bitterness, and spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy/bready/grainy wheat/lactose; some lactic acid, light fruit tang/tannins, and zests in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering acidic/tangy dryness; zero cloying/pucker. Refreshingly smooth, mildly lactic, no warmth of 7%. Amazing balance of super juicy/jammy fruit, and Lacto complexity; with a great balanced lactose, and wheat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Another easy winner. Love the whole series. 4.28

Beers drank for the “4th” beach trip,...cold Corona light each return from beach (hot at ocean city), followed up with a Speed Wobbles session ipa (Key Brewing). One evening after the ice cold Corona I broke out the Tree House King Jjjjuliusss ( shared ) then followed that with a Treat ( also Tree House ). Took one other Baltimore local on the trip, DuClaws DadBod Double IPA ,which though not as good as Tree House or Key brews showed some promise that DuClaw is improving. My friend at beach supplied the Corona’s to serve as “ lawnmower” beers for taking edge off thirst before moving on to other stuff. Oops....almost forgot a Lagunitas IPA he handed me upon arrival after our three hour drive down there

Water buffalo. Bought in Okinawa in the 1960's. 17 month old pats its head everytime she visits (I am lucky, that is weekly). Yesterday.

I had the Põhjala Imperial Baltic Porter last night that was more than solid; here now, their Imperial Stout with Coffee and Coconut.

    11.2 oz. bottle.
    BB 05 03 22.
    Batch 844.
Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch tan head over a near black body with scant lacing with the head disappearing in a couple minutes. Nose of dark roasted malt, coffee, toasted (almost burnt) caramel, and very slight coconut. Taste mirrors nose somewhat, with added dark fruit and chocolate not present on the nose; coconut, however, is almost nonexistent. Very nice silky feel and overall, a real nice Impy Stout, would recommend and will definitely have again real soon.
    Cheers!

Excellent IPA. Great rocky head retention/soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bready malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grass, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth, not aggressive, minimal warming 6.5%. Great HBC 692, Mosaic, Citra profile; but feels like the 692 has the most presence. Very vibrant, dank, earthy, and fairly juicy hop complexity; with a great clean pale/wheat malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with crisp drying. No complaints. 4

I am guilty of chugging a Corona after a hot day working in the yard. Not my favorite beer but the thought of a stout in this circumstance would not sit well.
