Having my second can of Strawberry Jacket (not of the evening, just of my 4 pack). I honestly don’t drink that many barleywines these days, SJ being one of the exceptions, mainly because of its availability. But I absolutely love Strawberry. Being on the drier side, the fruit adds a port-like dimension. I really hope they make this again.

Oh lord, between the return of VSOD (hell yes), Cuvee de Grace and the 10 Year Beer, I guess I'm ready to open up some space in my fridge.

Just took half days on 11/15 and 1/24. Also, can we read into this that 11/15-11/17 is FOBAB weekend?

I feel like this could be the year where I miss out on some of these. I get the sense that the lines will be worse, and so will my ability to get over there mid-afternoon on a Friday.

They all look delicious, though, and at worst I should be able to swing by to have them on tap when they come out.

 

Been doing an excellent job of avoiding $16 and $20 IPA 4-packs...for reasons like this. $tout $eason is never kind to the budget.

 

So does this mean there are two different 2019 SJ’s (Jan ‘19 and Nov ‘19)?

 

This has been my plan the last few releases. Then it’s a pleasant surprise when the line isn’t bad.

 

I just continue to be glad someone is putting all those poor 12oz cans to good use.

 

No Vanilla Deth? Thought that would have been a shoe in for the lineup this year Also would love to see Masters of War in 4-packs. Had it last year during the release and it was incredible.

 

It seems like a lot of this stuff is on rotation--Boss Ryeway last time, Jacket this time, VSOJ last year, VSOD this year. Maybe between rotating and the new big ones (Cuvee and 10) they didn't feel they had room for Vanilla, or just don't think it should be a "core" beer.
