How? Do restaurants have their own crowler fillings stations for the draft beer they currently have, or does this only apply to the cans they have on site? And what container are they using for mixed drinks? This sees like an easy way for the local police to arrest/ticket people for an open container in the car.

I don't know the details, my guess is beer will end up in growlers or some other container, wines will be in bottles, the mixed drink, well that will be interesting. Seriously if I owned a brewery right now I would have a food truck there and would be taking orders for food to go along with beer, one stop shopping.

Went and grabbed a few four-packs of local craft and a few bottles of liquor from my favorite local bottle shop since I was out grocery shopping anyway and the checkout girl was like "Oh, I see you are stocking up before they close everything, smart!". I hope it doesn't get to the point they are closing everything non-essential but I assume that will likely happen here soon. I went and grabbed a friends pills from the pharmacy while I was out and everyone there was wearing masks and gloves and we have quite a few cases in my county so we will see what happens.

Will try and support my local spots as much as I can. My fridge is overflowing with beer.

I have one local restaurant that posted on facebook that they are closed during this crisis (state mandate in MI) but food carry-out is available via telephone orders. They went on to say that bottled beer and wine can also be purchased along with a food order. This place has a full bar but cocktails were not mentioned.

You bring up food trucks but I don't hear how those businesses have been affected, especially in states with mandated closures. Anyone know what's going on with them?

I don't think they are affected, they operate in a closed environment, so my assumption is they can still do to-go since everything they do is to go. But that is probably going to be regulated by state

One of my locals, True Respite Brewing, just started a delivery service, one which offers same-day delivery. Ordered several 4-packs: an Irish Red Ale, a Pilsner and their tasty Hazy IPA. Add to this Grubhub and I'll never set foot outside again.

I live in Illinois, and while breweries and stand alone liquor stores are still trying to determine whether they can remain open after the "stay at home" order, there have been some misconceptions on this board (What beer are you drinking and other threads) by posters as to what a "stay at home" order means.

Illinois issued the order today, effective tomorrow evening. The governor and our mayor discussed some details during a joint press conference this afternoon.

What is officially closed: Entertainment venues, dine in eating restaurants (pick up and delivery continue to be permitted) & gathering of individuals in public or private places greater than 10, except for permissible activities defined in the order. Playgrounds, schools, park buildings, most schools and libraries have also been closed.

What recreational activities are explicitly permitted: Walking, hiking, biking and running without limitation beyond complying with requested social distancing.

What stores / facilities are explicitly permitted to open:

    - Stores selling food and beverages, including alcohol.
    - Stores that sell groceries and medicine
    - All medical care
    - Food, beverage, agriculture and cannabis production and distribution companies
    - Construction
    - Building maintenance and management
    - All utilities, public transportation, roads, highways and airports (including ride-share/taxis)
    - Internet, video, telecommunication providers
    - Recycling
    - Organizations that provide charitable and social services
    - Media
    - Gas Stations
    - Financial Institutions
    - Hardware and supply stores
    - Critical trades (plumbers, carpenters, electricians, exterminators, cleaning staff, HVAC, painters, movers and others)
    - Laundromats and dry cleaners
    - Restaurants serving food for off-premise consumption
    - Business which sell supplies to allow people to work from home
    - Business which supply goods and services for all of the above
    - Home based care facilities
    - Professional Services (Attorneys, Real Estate, Accountants)
    - Day care facilities (for employees of the above services)
    - Critical Union functions
    - Hotels and motels
    - Funeral service providers

While all of the above are explicitly allowed, people engaging in the above are asked to keep appropriate distancing, and to wash and take reasonable precautions.

My wife works for her cousin, he owns a metal refinishing company. They have had several of their customers supply them with the documentation needed to stay open during this shutdown, so she will still be trucking it into the office every day. Thanks for the details!

Cool. Also came across clarification regarding liquor only sales outlets. Per this article they are still permitted. Great news for bottle shops, liquor stores and breweries selling packaged to go offerings!

A few paragraphs into this article about NY State declaring liquor stores essential is this tidbit:

"Craft beer breweries and cideries also will remain open under the temporary rules in effect until April 15. And for the first time, you can now have beer delivered to your home in New York, the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, part of the USA TODAY Network, reports. "

    Craft beer delivery! Stay safe.

Seems Oklahoma gave some excemptions. I just go tthis in my email from McNellies. They are allowing them to clean out their tapped kegs, hopefully if this continues, and there is no downside they can clean out their untapped kegs also

Yesterday I did a drive thru at Sterling Pig in Media, PA. Ordered ahead, pulled up in their parking lot, and they put a case of 24-cans, 2 crowlers, and a 4-pack of 16oz cans in my trunk!

I rarely go to taprooms, brew pubs, etc. Most of the beer I drink is homebrew or bought at Lowe's Foods, a grocery store in NC that has a good selection.
Yesterday I picked up three 4-packs at Booneshine Brewing Co. in Boone, NC. I'd been there once before after work and they were packed inside and out. This time there were 4 customers, on a Saturday with the best weather we've had since last fall.
They said they're holding their own for the time being with "pretty good" support from the community, and were appreciative of the walk-up business.

I have never really been a growler person but these two babies are on their second fill within a week. Territorial Brewing is all I've got right now for a brewery. I bought carry-out food and a gift card too. I'm trying to help them stay open (carry-out only until further notice).

[A second brewery in town, Handmap Brewing, is (was?) scheduled to have their grand opening this coming Friday but no word yet from them on whether this will happen.]
