Wish I could've stayed longer. Kid needed a haircut but had time for a taster. I liked the Marbles but the sweetness prevented me from picking up a 4 pack. Couldn't imagine needing that many. Buddy picked up 2 packs and kicked me a can. Owe him something in the future. Great space and happy it's not too far from home.

So what did your kid think of the beer?

Thought it was great. He wasn't able to make the Rev Deep Woods releases but enjoys milkshakes.

It seems like the 50/50 split between VP and Huntley wasn't optimal. VP appears to have sold out in under 1.5 hours, while Huntley lasted until dinner time.

what else would you recommend? the 50/50 seems like a good way to handle it especially with them still figuring everything out.

If you got his haircut in Huntley I hope you went to Beardsley’s barber shop. Best barber shop in the area. As a matter of fact I was there getting a haircut today before I went to More for a couple pours.

I think the optimal breakdown would be so it lasts about the same amount of time at both locations, which indicates that the supply is meeting the demand. But that's just me. I don't know what % that breakdown would be though, that's for them to figure out (if they even care about that). Either way, I understand starting at 50/50, because they don't know how quickly stuff at Huntley will sell out.

plus you figure they don’t mind enticing people to come out all afternoon to the new location.

Went back to Huntley yesterday with a friend from out of town for late lunch. Really enjoyed raspberry marbles despite not being a fan of milkshake IPAs. He even got a 4 pack to take back to Seattle. Still had a 50 minute wait for a table yet there were ~5 open tables the entire time (this honestly blows my mind). The walk up line is still an enormous issue crossing in front of the kitchen entrance/exit. Had the impossible meatball hoagie and it was EXCELLENT. Cannot recommend enough. It's really nice to have so many interesting vegetarian options for food. Good on More.

Drank a bottle of Roaming Elephant the other day.
Smooth, creamy with a nice touch of sweetness.
    Absolutely terrific beer right now.

PSA: VP has crowlers of Henna S'mores for $25 to go, apparently.

In somewhat related news, the old Ram Schaumburg building is turning into a martini lounge. I had always hoped a brewery would snatch up that spot. Always liked the space, and the NW suburbs are a craft beer desert.

Given the current state of the world for the bar industry, it's possible that it winds up being a brewery in the not too distant future.

I loved this beer when it first came out. Has Henna been as good since Shaun left?

Hate to say it, but once that place closes in a month or so maybe a brewery can open up there after all!

Tough time to start a new business in the hospitality industry.

This was the first packaged Henna since he left, to my knowledge. In my honest opinion, this version of Henna S'mores was atrocious. Everything I loved about the b3 Henna bottles was not even close to being replicated in these cans.

It's an extremely sweet stout, and very unbalanced in that way. Everybody I know who has tried it says it just tastes like an overly sweet vanilla stout - no graham cracker present, and no chocolate present. I'd say give it a try if you're interested though, different strokes and all.

Oh my, where do you live? There are seven breweries within 10 minutes of that Ram location
