Get me drunk enough and maybe I will.

Oh, and for forms of payment, I'm totally fine with a sixtel of BCBS.

How's everyone getting to/from Dark Horse (to/from Hotels)? Marshall's pretty small, and ISTM there'll be a lot of cab demand.

I'm gonna park my car at the brewery early, pack it full of my beer that I buy, drive it back to the hotel and then cab it back. Or something like that.

I was thinking about doing that, but here's the thing - let's assume you get there at 9 AM. Tokens are handed out at 11 AM. You line up at the brewery door to enter at 3 PM. For most of this time the taps are flowing, with the 'rare' stuff gone first, so do you need to make a determination of whether you will hold off from the taps to make it easier to transport the beer for the 6+ hours you are there?

One mile drunken stumble in the freezing cold sounds fine to me.

We are basically doing the same thing, load up beer, drop off beer, go back to DH, and see what happens from there. Please don't drive buzzed or hammered or anything at all... it's bad form to begin with, but also Marshall cops have been cracking down hard on drinking and driving. They'll be out in full force on Saturday for SURE and it's just not worth the risk.

By the time I got my bottles last year (I was number 32 or something), I had two beers standing in line...I can navigate the one mile to the hotel to deliver the beer. Last year was different because of the no bottle sharing tho, so it looks like I will be keeping my beer in my car for the night. If I do get so shit fucking drunk by 3:00, I won't drive, and I will have much bigger problems...(like trying to keep John and Pasta away from my asshole).

I found a place called the Arbor in, but it's about 2 miles. Rooms supposedly start @ $45. If one follows train tracks, he could walk the distance....

Don't want to make this into a 'weather' thread - but the current forecast is 35/25 with a 60% chance of rain/snow. No way I'm waiting in that cold/misery without some bottles to be shared.

I'll be making a (somewhat hazy and very cold) walk to a place we are staying in Marshall to deliver the goods after they are acquired prior to returning to the party.

There are many of us going in the same vehicle that will probably get the full allotment. I'm not too comfortable leaving $1500+ worth of beer in the car. People are assholes and I don't trust them. If it was just a case or two in the trunk, maybe it wouldn't be such a big deal.

I don't think you'd really miss out on any of the rare stuff... It depends on how long you are waiting in line for bottle sales really. The good stuff does not go on until the party starts at 3. Run and get a pour of your can't miss beer right when they let everyone in and enjoy the super long wait in the bottle sales line. Seriously. The line moves reeaaallllly slow.

Cash, cash, cash. Cash is king in a beer line, and the more people that remember that, the quicker the line moves. Just a reminder to all.

Just gonna walk back to the hotel after is my guess. It does say on the DH event page at the bottom that can service is available. Also, Marshall cops will be out looking for drunk drivers (like last year), so don't drive drunk.

Does it really move that slow? Like Livery release slow?

I found a place 2 miles away from DH called Howard's Motel for $45/night.

Worse. Much much worse. With line cutting last year (which won't happen this year due to DH checking numbers in line and self policing against line cutters) it took me 2 1/2 hours to get my bottles and I was number 71 in line. Here's to hoping it is better this year!

I am not going to stop anyone from walking back to their hotel after buying beer, but 2 cases of BB Plead the 5th certainly make a nice chair.

Hmm. There's a massive parking lot just to the north east of DH. This has me thinking...
