I have been waiting days to be able to post this on NBS and it was worth the wait. I really like the normal version, but the DDH 7.8% instead of 6.5% is insane. Cheers and you and your families have healthy Easter.

 

Have a good Sunday. Slept til 830PM. Been playing Metroid Prime and Super Mario Sunshine most of the night. Not much else, just been bored. Will definitely get going with more guitar things soon.

Wild Leap Vacanza Coconut Cream Pie. Very good gose. Solid head retention/minimal lacing. Aromas and flavors of juicy/tart/tangy pineapple, coconut, vanilla, cream, lemon, lime, peach, pear, red/green apple, hay, straw, grass; moderate wheat, cracker, white bready malts; light sea salt, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. A bit muted aromas. Got better as it warmed. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and light body; balanced creamy/grainy wheat, lactic acid, fruit tang, and light salinity in the mouthfeel. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Refreshingly light, but not feeling too watery. Not overly lactic/salty. Nicely flavorful. Nice balance of authentic pineapple, coconut, and lacto complexity; with a nice lactose, vanilla, and pale/wheat malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Very enjoyable, well made style example. Not overwhelming on any aspect. 3.78

Happy Easter advocates. I know it's not the Easter we planned on but let's make the most of it. Going to have an Easter egg hunt for my nieces but first something dark and toasty. Timber ales a tail of two pitties. Imperial Stout aged on toasted coconut and cassia bark. @Timber_Ales you have outdone yourselves with this one. It's basically a chocolate milkshake with insane notes of coconut. Best stout I've had this year so far cheers

 

Lagunitas Born Yesterday. Still tasting great. Flavors of huge red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, biscuit, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky/resinous hops in the mouthfeel. Crisp/drying finish and never astringent on bitterness. Amazing juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop profile; with a clean pale malt backbone. Refreshingly drinkable for an IPA. Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic hops this year. Used to have Equiniox for years, but I guess they couldn't find much this year. Still have a whole other pack left, need to get some Waldos soon.

Fuck I can't wait for this lockdown thing to be over. Think I might take the morning train downtown, grab some Intelligentsia coffee, have a slow walk along the lakefront, then catch a train to Revolution after finding a good diner for breakfast, then head back to the beach for a nap after grabbing some Daisy Cutter and a preroll.
