Happy Easter, everybody!
I have been waiting days to be able to post this on NBS and it was worth the wait. I really like the normal version, but the DDH 7.8% instead of 6.5% is insane. Cheers and you and your families have healthy Easter.
Have a good Sunday. Slept til 830PM. Been playing Metroid Prime and Super Mario Sunshine most of the night. Not much else, just been bored. Will definitely get going with more guitar things soon.
Wild Leap Vacanza Coconut Cream Pie. Very good gose. Solid head retention/minimal lacing. Aromas and flavors of juicy/tart/tangy pineapple, coconut, vanilla, cream, lemon, lime, peach, pear, red/green apple, hay, straw, grass; moderate wheat, cracker, white bready malts; light sea salt, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. A bit muted aromas. Got better as it warmed. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and light body; balanced creamy/grainy wheat, lactic acid, fruit tang, and light salinity in the mouthfeel. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Refreshingly light, but not feeling too watery. Not overly lactic/salty. Nicely flavorful. Nice balance of authentic pineapple, coconut, and lacto complexity; with a nice lactose, vanilla, and pale/wheat malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Very enjoyable, well made style example. Not overwhelming on any aspect. 3.78
2 days of Be'Lakor has been OK with me.
Happy Yeaster! Night Shift Santilli IPA while cooking up some maple sausage and eggs.
And here's Laura Cox, simply shreddin' it!
Happy Easter advocates. I know it's not the Easter we planned on but let's make the most of it. Going to have an Easter egg hunt for my nieces but first something dark and toasty. Timber ales a tail of two pitties. Imperial Stout aged on toasted coconut and cassia bark. @Timber_Ales you have outdone yourselves with this one. It's basically a chocolate milkshake with insane notes of coconut. Best stout I've had this year so far cheers
Lagunitas Born Yesterday. Still tasting great. Flavors of huge red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, biscuit, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky/resinous hops in the mouthfeel. Crisp/drying finish and never astringent on bitterness. Amazing juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop profile; with a clean pale malt backbone. Refreshingly drinkable for an IPA. Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic hops this year. Used to have Equiniox for years, but I guess they couldn't find much this year. Still have a whole other pack left, need to get some Waldos soon.
A APA from my old watering hole in the lady 90s. Flying Goose, very herbal and floral, with a little grapefruit bitterness. Solid stuff.

Good morning, BAs! Thanks to @r0rschach for today’s opener.

1997-1999 hung out all the time at the Goose, I was in the golf business back then.
Fine day Sunday. Do you think Joe Exotic could get me a white owl?
Once more, DbC.
Also, this headache... I blame @tasterschoice62 - and I also thank him for organizing ditties & beer day. That was fun. Maybe too much fun, eh, Janis? Nah. Cheers!
Lill says hi.
Beer #2. First time this has made it to Philly I believe.
Happy Easter, everyone!
Crowler of Surly Barrel-Aged Darkness
Fuck I can't wait for this lockdown thing to be over. Think I might take the morning train downtown, grab some Intelligentsia coffee, have a slow walk along the lakefront, then catch a train to Revolution after finding a good diner for breakfast, then head back to the beach for a nap after grabbing some Daisy Cutter and a preroll.
Happy Easter, BAs!
For those of us who are of a.... certain age and metal-heads, I'm going to share a rock-roasting delight for all of us..you know who you are. Cheers, see y'all later hopefully with a new beer this afternoon. Gotta work. In the meantime....
Good Easter Sunday morning to all!
A rare (once a year) Sunday off as our store is closed Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. This beer was released somewhere in the middle of my 6 week, strict, low carb/no alcohol stretch and it's time to check it out!
16 oz. can.
Moderate to vigorous pour yields a one inch white head over a hazy golden orange body with some lacing. Nose of citrus and slight tropical fruit with a some floral/herbal notes as well. Taste follows nose closely with a dry finish of bitter citrus pith. Nice feel and overall, another fine offering from UPBC's H2H series and would recommend.
C&P from NBS.
Fair State Brewing Cooperative IPA
If I recall correctly they had just changed ownership and/or name flying goose
Happy Easter BA's! Overtime work and 3 mile run complete. Hot and muggy here, 80 feels like 85. Hope everyone makes he best of today, call them if you can't see them. Cheers mates! CBS....
Happy Easter! This is a NBS cross-post. Thank you, @scream, for allowing me to experience drinking this beer! As soon as I received this beer, I knew it would be perfect to drink on Easter morning!
Happy Easter ! Teddy says weyerbachers Sunday morning stout is a great part of a nutritious easter morning breakfast
Happy Easter, BAs! Starting the day off right. Saw this little Twitter gem in The Guardian. Enjoy!
Stay Safe and Sláinte!
That sounds like a great day to me.
Happy Easter, BA! Kicking off the morning with a Munich Dunkel lager from KC Bier Co. From the style description, this is spot on. Lots of malty goodness, with notes of caramel and dark fruit. Medium body, with good bitterness and a lingering bit of peppery spice on the palate. Seemed like the perfect pairing with Reese's peanut butter eggs because, as you all know, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Happy Easter to all ! (wearing a shirt with buttons today to go... nowhere)
Fayston Maple Imperial Stout, rich, tasty
Beer #3. Thanks @Bum4ever ! (SARA)
Almost pulled the trigger on a delivery box from them, since they deliver to PA. Including that beer. The $18 shipping gave me pause though. I guess it’s not that bad for 20+ beers!
Really digging this one. Juicy a little bite in the finish.
Perfectly refreshing beer for a warm spring day. Happy easter everyone!
