Revolution Brewing (2020)

Pretty cool offer on their site now with 2 variants of their Batch 1000 beer.

 

Damn, had them in my cart yesterday, but waited until today to pair with their Piece collaboration beer (it was supposed to be available yesterday, but delayed until today).

The variants are long gone. I never had either (started going to Revolution in 2018), but really like Working Mom and wanted to give these a try. Guess I have $55 in my pocket for their next surprise release.

 

Never had either myself, I don't even remember them coming out. I actually thought the "brown ale" aspect would help them stick around, but I also have no idea how many they had for sale.

I'll probably crack them both this weekend, I'll let you know how they are!!

 

I had Markland but none of the other variants. I found it way too hot back then (as many of their initial BA offerings were). So I’m also intrigued by how it held it held up.

 

The Markland Batch 1000 was excellent; it tasted like a brown cow / root beer float. Maybe some pipe tobacco notes as well. Still had some carbonation and while it was a bit thin, it is a brown ale so it seemed appropriate.

The Helluland Batch 1000 was...not excellent, to me at least. It tasted EXACTLY like an old-fashioned; I've never been a fan of beers that taste like cocktails. I'd rather just have a cocktail!

 

Any rumblings on Thundertaker?

 

I think that's what they call the rioters now...As in first you hear thunder, and then you see takers...Thundertakers.

 

The thunder you make is equal to the thunder you take.

 

Poignant message about recent events posted today. Also noted is the fact the brewpub will not re-open until allowed to reopen fully.

Hoping a nice vintage is offered this week so I can pick up with another piece/rev collaboration pickup. The extra pale ale is very good. Thanks for reporting back @GuyFawkes !

 

The release is Friday, looking forward to picking this up, a Piece refill and maybe the new league of Hero's variety pack. Miss having regular weekly releases at the brewery.

Rev is offering a Deep Woods Mystery box which includes two vintage Weep Woods beers and some Deep Woods merch.

 

I got a 2018 Deth Star and a Vanilla Deth this time around.

 

2 boxes for me. A 2018 Deth's Tar and a Gravedigger Billy in one box and a 2018 Deth's Tar and Codeswitch in the other box. Both boxes had magnets and coasters.

 

The collaboration pour w/ Pollyanna is very good. Wrote up a review on New Beer Sunday. Very complex, full body, glad I have three more.

Looks like Supermassive Cafe Deth dropping next week - RevRewards members got the pre-order e-mail this morning.

 

I was trying to not buy expensive beer for a while

 

And despite meeting the point threshold, I got nothing. Gah... Guess I need to email them.

Last release they literally told me "you're 15 points short, if you buy 1 pack of anything you'll get skip the line next time"... so I did.

 

I guess they cancelled my RevRewards membership or something? I used to get these emails but didn't get this one. Even checked my spam.

@BeerCruncher have I been shadowbanned? LOL
