    was going to mention that here as well. i know this is a SP / Shared “releases” thread but i’m thinking Cory might want to know about this, although i’m not exactly sure what he can really do about it at this point.

    I was one of the ones that got taken. I haven’t opened the bottle yet, but I should have known. Mine looks like it’s been thru a war, and the wax job isn’t up to SP standards.

    Worst thing is, I gave this clown positive feedback. I hope this is an isolated incident going forward and not a new trend. What a bummer...

    A good amount of both bottles available, sweet! Grabbed 2x Crusher, 1 RBdP. Haven't had batch #1 of RBdP, so I'm definitely excited to try batch 2!

    This is so crazy. I told my girlfriend what was going on, and she specifically remembers BBT weekend at the cellar and some guy asking for an empty BBT bottle from one of the bartenders.

    For those that know about the counterfeit bottles, I can't post over there in that thread, don't have the privileges.

    I was just notified of this whole thing this afternoon.

    Just wanted to make a quick note that he has been banned from Side Project (he ironically had an order to pick up from us today via a proxy in which we cancelled and told the proxy why) and banned from making online purchases. We know that he uses multiple accounts and emails and will do what we can.

    As for the bottles, I am trying to acquire a fake one to pinpoint all of the telltale signs to help people identify if they have one. Quick note - if your cap has that indention in it - ITS FAKE.

    Please forward this post or link this post to those in the other thread - sorry I can't post it over there.

    Supposedly this guy interned at Perennial after I worked there. I sourced the wax and tape that Perennial still uses to this day - so he may be privy to its source to purchase. Our wax is more plastic based - not soft, chips when you remove the tape.

    Just wanted to let everyone know that we are looking into this and taking it very seriously. I take this as a direct attack on our integrity and quality - makes me sick to think of someone trying one of our stouts for the first time and being completely disgusted and completely unaware of this background info...

    Copied my post from the BT thread but felt like it should be posted in here too....

    This is wild but I wanted to share some pictures of my BBT b2. This bottle has been in my possession since picking it up at BBT release. The label has gotten a little wonky from storing it in a cooler during a move last year but as you can see, the wax isn't perfect and even has a little bit of a "bulb" effect going on. Mine has been in the fridge (aside from the few hours in the cooler during moving when the label got wet) since I picked it up.

    What about b2 is fake? It looks a little less waxed but I've had BBT bottles that look like that and they were infact BBT.
