I haven’t seen any Class V in cans. Very solid stout at 9%

Random question: does Citra show up on tap around LA when it's released?

Was stoked and ready to consume Peak Bagger (a collab with Beachwood), but it tasted like a field of onions. Drain pour.

Yes. But in these days and times I doubt you’ll find a place to sit and drink. Too bad the ABC won’t let restaurants and pubs fill growlers to go. But the good news is the Citra cans have shown up in OC/LA area. Seek and enjoy.

Local restaurants and bars here in North OC are filling growlers and even to-go cocktails.

Who in the oc? Is this requiring new growlers?

Haven Craft Kitchen in the Circle (and I also believe their sister spot, Provisions). Also Native Son Alehouse posted on their Instagram they were doing it, but prices were steep. Oh yeah, I also believe Hollingshead’s in Orange is also doing it. You bring your own growlers.

Oh yes, the most overpriced places to get a beer. I'm good, I'll stick with my 36 pack of coors banquet

I had a 4 pack of Citra (along with some Eppig cans) shipped directly to my door from Bine and Vine. Drank a can last night. I hadn’t had Citra in years due to the effort involved in acquiring it and the reports that it’s regressed over the years but this batch was amazing. Seeing as how cans are hitting many local shops, I’d highly recommend grabbing some if you see it.

Went to First Class Pizza tonight and got a 64 oz growler fill of Power Plant TIPA from El Segundo for 15 bucks. Most 64 oz fills were 15 bucks unless it was a sour or a stout.

That’s 15 with their new growler? Or you brought your own?

Brought my own growler, I thought I'd have to buy one of theirs due to the Coronavirus and not wanting to fill things from peoples homes, but they let me fill one of my 64's I brought with me just in case.

Gah why only California. So close to Nevada and given Casa Agria uses GSL too and delivered to Nevada was hoping this would allow that too. Doh.

Drinking a Double Check DIPA from my KRBC online order that arrived yesterday. Yes shipped Tuesday and arrived 24hrs later. First time for DC DIPA. I want to say this is brand new and brewed for their Anniversary. It’s good. I wish I could say it’s very good fresh but it was canned 6-4. For me it’s not fresh. But it’s still good. I think this would taste amazing for a west coast fresh. But a least I got to try it. I know I have very fresh Chuuurch! cans and a very fresh and new California Lounge Chair waitin’ for me. So I got that to look forward to in Vegas. Cheers.

Some news coming out of camp Kern. It’s pumpkin season so Pumpkin Ale is available for those who are into pumpkin beers. Not so much here. But I use to get this in bombers back in the day. They are taking pre orders for their one time GABF Citra DIPA For Nov 2 release. Not going to pre order as I don’t need a case or half case. But I will order when it’s available in 4pks. Last years batch was enjoyable to say the least. Still nothing like the original recipe when people would line up for bottle sales. But getting better each release. Let’s hope they keep it going uphill rather than going downhill. They also have a couple of new releases between now and the Citra release. Camp Nelson IPA and Intergalactic Space Tuber Hazy IPA. And what I’ve been waiting for, Class V Stout in cans! Again, back in the day CV Stout was a very good Stout at 8.5%. It’s been MIA. Can’t wait to try it again. Kern is still putting out some classy beers for old school brewery. That’s all.
