Dinner to go from Alice Blue, a great little restaurant around the corner from me. Can't wait till they open for dine in again, need me some happy hour cocktails. Fried chicken and a Rye/Pimm's cocktail they came up with off the cuff for me, ha. Everything here is excellent.



@ChicagoJ good stuff. Here is probably my favorite studio album from King, his live stuff always blows everything out of the water but this is a really well done set.

Couldn’t agree with you more. I‘ve never enjoyed confrontation, but especially in the recent political climate, I’m avoiding those talks at all costs. I agree that talk can get you to a more common ground and more understanding, but the political climate is so extreme right now that I’d rather not participate, especially on my day off from work! Cheers man and enjoy that brew and cigar!

 

Since I am in the same demographic as you, I appreciate the recipe. I have one to share with you. Lucky Charms, followed by a can of tuna, finishing with a multi-vitamin. I swear by it.

Next is an interesting bottle. A 2016 Sierra Nevada Dunkelweizen, a long discontinued part of their high altitude series. Weizenbocks aren't normally good candidates for aging, but I got this for free from a family member so no skin off me if it's no good.

 

Too bad about Joey Votto. Hopefully the Reds can still get into the playoffs with one of the I believe twelve wildcard slots MLB has this year.

Foreign Exchange Player 8,195 Has Entered the Game Sour IPA (raspberry, dragonfruit, hibiscus, vanilla, Belma/Sultana). Bright and refreshing beer from the fruit and hibiscus. Not much in terms of hops or vanilla. Maybe a touch of vanilla as it warms. More of a kettle sour than anything. Not a bad thing at all. Raspberry, dragonfruit, and hibiscus are there in spades.
