    I braved the holiday weekend traffic for a trip to Slack Tide Brewing. This murky beer is Pot Hopper, a 5.5% APA hopped with Mouterre. It bursts with tart, bitter lemon peel and grapefruit rind with a slightly astringent finish. Tasty!

    After the super bitter Pot Hopper I’m cleansing my palate with Head Shake, a pineapple milkshake DIPA. I had this when first released at the anniversary celebration last winter. I was impressed then but this batch is better. Cheers!

    Decided to grade outside, and have another one. ORB Two Pound Tent DIPA.
    Had some last night, in a glass, upon which this review is based...and will be my NBW x-post.
    It's damn good.

    Got a few new spirits this weekend to see if I can expand my palate there. Pairing some brandy with an “Italian Pilsner” from Ocelot:

    Not thinking brandy works for me solo - maybe better after a meal. The odd mix of Italics and Remy somehow isn’t discordant.
