Fucking president is playing golf while I'm trying not to be jealous of this guy? And I can't even drink or smoke pot for a week after a tooth extraction? They didn't say anything about microdosing
Cold Brew Coffee Pumking from Southern Tier
Held onto this for as long as I could as I haven't wanted to depart from it.
Thanks to @Dbonified for this extra.
Cheers as I sip this and await a late burger lunch...
Good evening dear Advocates.
Dugges (SWE) - BOXED IDJIT - Barrel Aged Imperial Stout (12,10%)
Bottle of 2015 or 2016 from my home cellar.
Expiry date 06/09/2021.
Barrel Aged version for 11 months in barrels of the Swedish distillery "Angermannian Box Destilleri AB" of their Imperial Stout (BIG IDJIT)
On the nose bourbon, wood, roasting.
Impenetrable black color, zero foam but there is a slight white patina that remains on the surface.
Fluid body, absolutely not dense.
Flat beer there is hardly any caebonation.
It falls too easily, masking the 12.1%.
In the hole notes of bourbon whiskey, wood, coffee, tobacco and in the background also dark chocolate.
Dry, roasted finish.
Alcohol masked very well.
To be served with cigar or dark chocolate.
Excellent balance, beer evolved according to and over time.
The body I expected different ... instead it is very light (too much ?!).
Overall a masterpiece, especially for the elegance and balance it manages to give to its complexity.
I drank a young one and compared to that it certainly seems to have evolved over time.
A new beer, Turning Point's "Brain Scramblies" and art work from @LeperJim
My favorite American Barleywine ever, fantastic stuff.
Shame on you for setting foot in that establishment !
I keep having to edit this post! Never thought I'd see the day that you have something vaguely positive to say about BrewDog .
I had a leftover gyro that my buddy had in his fridge for breakfast, and it was bomb. I might order dinner from the place tonight.
Trubble Draconian. Very nice Scotch ale. Deep opaque ruby brown color. Solid head retention/lacing. Aromas and flavors of big caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, chocolate, cocoa, coffee, raisin, plum, fig, red apple, herbal, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. A bit too fruity/yeasty aromas. Light herbal, woody, grassy, peppery, roasted bitterness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium-plus body; creamy/bready/grainy malts, light sticky hops and chalky roast. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no cloying sweetness. Minimal warming 7.4%. A bit too roasty for the style, but not overwhelming. Nice balance between rich malts and fruit yeast; with solid hops. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Well made style example. 3.88
Illinois BAs, based on my drive home in the right lane of I-43 going north yesterday, and watching the amount of cars with Illinois license plates pass me in the left lane going 100 MPH, is Illinois currently empty? I don't usually like American black metal, but I love this song!
long holiday weekend saturday cheers
Bentonville Lil Wrecker IPA, still waiting on my wings

Bright & Hollow Sky DDH IPA from Singlecut. Brisket coming along...
Coming from you this sounds like a real recommendation
Arguably my favorite beer from Triptych Brewing, a small microbrewery in central Illinois. Glad to finally get another 4 pack of it. Gf's family member is getting married today so I guess we have pregame the ceremony. One of the few couples this year to not cancel the wedding, we'll see how it goes. A little nervous but everyone should be wearing masks. Cheers!
So much perfection in these images!
Your positioning of the bee is excellent.
I certainly don't blame yous from Illinois for heading up here to experience the paradise that is the state of Wisconsin. Meanwhile, I am going to drink this amazing Illinois beer, courtesy of @basaywhat! If you or @GrumpyGas, or whoever, is currently near Green Bay, WI, stop by my house. I will provide the beers, and will even open up a can of tuna for you to eat. I got all the time in the world, so for now I am just chilling.
Looks like you are seeing some of the lunar ejections as well
Sounds like a good idea!
I'll include this one, Bohemian Pilsner tasting - von Trapp Pilsner versus Ocelot's Rhapsodic.
von Trapp's is a little older, but also more mild and straightforward. Ocelot's has more hop presence and is more bitter. The flavor profiles are fairly similar, while there a little more pepper in Rhapsodic's nose.
I can't quite choose one or the other in this tasting. Leaning slightly towards Rhapsodic, but there's something a little more challenging about it. So I can't not say I'm not against von Trapp. What?!?
I think this beer is still figuring out its identity. IPA or octoberfest? Not bad though...Cheers!
Fat Tire a beer I don't drink often but always enjoy when I do.
My first happoshu review on BA comes from a collaboration between Black Raven and Lowercase. It's perfectly drinkable, but unexciting, which is probably exactly what you should expect for the style.
Mrs. snaotheus is in the process of preparing sticky toffee pudding for dessert tonight after beef Wellington for dinner...

Guten tag! So, I was "straight edge" until I was almost 21. I spent my junior year of college abroad, including august and september 1991 in Bavaria. Went to Oktoberfest in Rosenheim and tried a beer. No looking back!
