What beer are you drinking now? #2888

Is the beer good? Haven't hit Abnormal yet, it is very far from Downtown San Diego / Los Angeles. AleSmith by the Marine Base is as far as I have ventured outside of San Diego. Had one of their beers (Boss Pour) @ Khoury's in Henderson (just outside Las Vegas). I rated the WCIPA highly. (4.0 / 3.75 / 4.25 / 4.25 / 4.0).

Not sure if I'll have a beer soon, or just wait for Wings/Draft night later today. Will go the light stout route if I do start beforehand.

Yes, I like breweries which brew great offerings across multiple styles the best. AleSmith and Beachwood are my respective San Diego / Los Angeles favorites. Modern Times and Resident are also worth visiting if you ever reach San Diego. The Speedway Stouts / Variants are among the best BA Stouts I've ever had (Modern Times' Devils Teeth Series also outstanding).

Coffee is my favorite adjunct for stouts, BA or otherwise. Miss the BCS coffees, Revolution had one of my all time favorite batches last fall (Cafe Deth).

The AleSmith Brewery has a "speakeasy" not so secret room with aged stouts, barley-wines and other offerings. Haven't been there since February, dying to go back but will only get as far as Vegas next month because California remains closed, or at least their breweries. National/state parks and breweries are the two types of places in California I visit, Vegas visits are to visit my brother and his family. Hitting Vegas next month, hoping to return to a reopened California in the winter.



Miss old school Vegas, the Flamingo and Tropicana (Strip) and Golden Nugget and Fremont (Downtown) the only original places still around unchanged from when this was filmed.

Good, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a sucker for maple syrup - 4.45.

That's two beers in a row from the West Coast. What gives? We get neither of these breweries in my neck of the woods. And it sounds like you got them fresh. Nice.

Good morning! I felt like a bit of fruit and funk this morning. Also please ignore my hideous reflection.

 

Last day home until Sunday. Got a few M-43's that have been around a bit too long.

Fixing that problem starting now.

 

Got a run in this am, on this my day off. Going to eat a late breakfast/early lunch and enjoy a beer with it.
This can has seen better days, however, the beer inside is still pretty tasty. Cheers BA!

 

I forgot how amazing well this beer came together. There are a ton more variants that were released in the past couple months but in my area we didn't get any cans yet only draft. I think there may be close to 8 different ones this year. Anyway, this is by far the best blueberry beer I have ever had. Once you pop the top it smells like you in a blueberry processing plant. It isn't overly sweet either.
