Nice, the other only I've read all their work is John Grisham. I'm currently in the middle of another book but I've been meaning to give this one a read. I haven't read Clancy in a while and I got this hardback at Goodwill for $1 a couple weeks ago and am eager to get into it. I agree that a TV adaption from Clancy's work definitely has to cut out a lot of the content. It would be similar to a A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones thing imo

Next is Jean Claude van Gott by Morgondagens. This is the first foray into IPA for Morgondagens, who have made their name with fruited sours. I like it! Side of the can:

If you ever wanted a safe way to test how alcohol effects your motor skills, play a video game that requires precise handling after only one beer. I made it to the 3rd round at Indian Wells in AO2 Tennis, but decided to give it a rest because I was making far too many errors. I won the match 6-1, 6-0. I need to solicit @Greywulfken to instruct me on how to do a screen grab. I created Boris Becker and, if I do say so myself, he looks spot on. Great game; lots of fun. As stated prior, though, after only one beer I could tell that my reaction was compromised. Haha! Cheers!

Homebrewed Roggenbier. Given to me by a friend. This is just amazing. Too bad the style doesn't virtually exist commercially.

I tried simulation racing after four beers a few weeks ago. Don’t drink and drive, for fuck’s sake...

I love Grisham! Pretty much anything he writes is a winner. Mostly the legal ones from the 90s are my favorite. I read The Testament and The Chamber so far; and a 2018 one, Camino Island. All page turners. I got these other 5 to do, I got the three on the right from an old colleague of mine before I left MI. For free.

FINALLY GOT INTERNET. 940 Mbit down, 41 up. Not bad. Upload has always been very bad with coaxial for me, plus I live in the middle of farm land, so it's the best I can get. Just glad the 4 days of shitty cell service is over with. And I can upload from my DSLR again, instead of my Galaxy. Time to review a damn beer.

Transient Relaximum. Awesome NEIPA. Lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big mandarin orange, apricot, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, berries, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light toast, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; very creamy/bready malts, some sticky hops, and light lingering resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingerng bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth/soft, minimal warming 6%, no lingering hop burn after the finish. Feels like Azacca and El Dorado hops. Super juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a nice sized wheat/oat malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Spot on style. 4.13

Just found this band today from a Prog facebook group, @eldoctorador looks like I need to stalk your Last.fm, because you already had them in your library.

Yes, this was the point I was attempting to make. I mean, I can hold my own with beer. That's not something to necessarily be proud of, however, it's fact. Play any game similar to the ones we mentioned after only one beer. You'll see...

I'll co-sign Grisham. I've ready too many to count. The Firm is my absolute favorite, though. Love the movie, too. That said, the book (as usual) is even better.

Here's a true story that goes against that logic. My beer pong partner in college was a childhood friend. We were indoctrinated to beer before we should have been, long story short. The reason we were so successful at beer pong is because I was insanely accurate until I got buzzed. He was insanely accurate only after he was drunk. I've never seen anything like it. And that goes for Quarters, too. I'm sure it goes by other names. He could roll the quarter off his nose, and do behind the back shots completely inebriated. Yeah, not something to brag about, but whenever we get together, we laugh about it to this day. Memories!

Shit, nice. I didn't even know they were Swedes until I just looked it up. The whole Scandinavian peninsula is metal goldmines.

Drinking my last can of this Urban Artifact Fire Iron from last year, a "tropical midwest fruit tart" ale with pink guava, banana, and passionfruit. Over a year old, a bit chunky and maybe some flavor loss, but not too bad, almost like a guava lemonade smoothie if that is a thing. Cheers!

Another great jazz musician who was criticized for combining jazz with other musical elements like soul and R'n'B
