First fresh hop of the year for me. It was a gift from relatives who like to individually gift wrap beer bottles, so I’ll be lucky not to rip every label.[IMG]

Great description! Maybe I am out of the loop because I haven't down to much Evil Twin stuff recently but I think this might be the first one of their beers I have seen in 12oz bottle format

Happy Columbus Day, everyone! Too bad it's a crummy day weather-wise but at least I'm not in the office.

Yeah the beer was released in 2016 before the complete 16oz can overhaul era. That specific beer was bottled at Dark Horse Brewing in MI. I've had the beer a few times, and after drinking this I still have 1 more left for some reason... I remember when it got released it was super hyped up and limited at first, and then after already acquiring a couple I saw another drop of it at a store with multiple cases and I got a couple more bottles for the years to come figuring it wouldn't get released again, and being somewhat obsessed with maple syrup stouts. Kind of ridiculous price, but it's the same as Prairie, and that's actually a fairly low price compared to what I saw some other people paying for in other areas, so I jumped on it. This was before the CBS 4pk release. Pretty good investment I think, could've traded some a while back but eh, more for me. Probably past it's prime but not bad, still flavorful, mapley boozy with a decent aged stout behind it. Cheers!

    12 oz. can.
    Canned 10/08/20.
    Best by 03/08/21.

Moderate to vigorous pour yields a 5/4 inch white head over a very bright and nearly transparent golden body with some lacing. Nose of classic noble hops, flavors following very closely with extremely nice hop bitterness on the finish. Great feel, very smooth, and a well done example of a German Pilsner.
    Bavarian Rhapsody!
    Cheers!!

Hemmet (The Home) is an IPA by Bottenvikens, a brewery I always enjoy that gets very little hype, as far as I know.

Been humming on old punk tracks all day, so that’s what’s on the old headphones.

Howdy, a pause in between class, and the next Zoom committee meetings (rest of day starting in a bit). So why not enjoy my last HA Logue?
Also, why not make it seem like I can have more than one glass, with my 5 oz taster?
    Here's to you, Monday.

    Cheers.

I'm not sure I would use that 5oz glass for anything other that big stouts/barelywines. Three pours from a 16oz can would probably be annoying. Still a nice glass and beer though!

    Cheers, here's to you Monday!

Had a couple of Beau’s All Natural Brewing Company Lugtread (a Kolsch) on tap at my local bar this morning. It’s kind of a unique situation in that a handful of us have permission from the owner to get in before official hours. If you knock on the door and are in the accepted group, the cleaner let’s you in and locks the door behind you. The cleaner has smart serve and knows how to pour. There were three of us there this morning for a couple hours before opening. Kind of a private club type atmosphere for a few people the owner trusts. I usually do this once on the weekend, but since today’s a holiday, why not. Currently at home drinking Head Stock IPA from Nickel Brook Brewing in Ontario. Cheers.
