According to mybeerbuzz, these babies should arrive in the U.S. in November! I don't think I came across this beer while I was in Munich a few years ago, but I am excited to give it a try. The article says "Paulaner has been refining the Pilsner recipe since the mid-1800’s", so this could taste slightly different than before. Like I said, I don't have experience with this one, but I am always thrilled to drink German.

Honestly, meh. There’s too many domestic and import Pilsners out here. Send the Dunkel in cans instead.

Honestly, there's too much beer in the states (just look how much is rotting on shelves!), gimme that Paulaner seltzer already!

Assuming this is priced in line with their helles and hefe, I will definitely pick it up.

Saw this yesterday too, didn't get a chance to post it. Eyes open for this one, I may not have had Paulaner Pils since I was in Munich.

I will be on the lookout for this beer next month and if the beer is relatively fresh (which it should be for a first drop) I will buy it.

If this beer follows the same distribution/freshness 'trend' as the other German beers then in all likelihood this will be my only purchase of this beer. I had the pleasure of drinking Hofbrauhaus Freising Dunkel when it was first introduced to the US market a couple of years ago but that one six-pack has been my only purchase since for all subsequent sightings of that beer the beer was too old.

I did enjoy the moment with those beers.

    Cheers!

While I will be looking out for this, it seems kinda weird - in Munich nobody drinks pilsners, it's all hefeweizen, dunkeles and helles with an occasional doppelbock.

Don't you think they're jumping on the lager renaissance bandwagon? It's a hoppy lager, less intimidating than a Dunkel, worth a little toe-dip in the market to test the water. They can always pull back.

    Again.

At 4.9, this might just fit the bill!

Actually right now the helles style is the rage, the Euro 0.5 liter bottle is retro and cool now.

In the U.S? I'm talking about the nouveau Pilsners that all the craft brewers are making now.

No, I meant in Germany. But yeah you're right the "hoppy lager" seems to be the current Shiny Object here. Personally I don't care for them - at least the ones that are over the top.

Weird. I thought they discontinued this product.
I hadn't seen it over here in years and it isn't on the German Paulaner website: https://www.paulaner.de or the Paulaner USA site: https://www.paulaner.com/us
It wasn't on the menu at either of the Paulaner halls in central Munich last year, either.
Munich isn't exactly a pils town, so I figured they just stopped making it.

The hottest new beverage out of Germany, carbonated spiked water, flavored with malted barley and hops! Its an all natural, super crushable, healthy alternative to those lactose and candy bar laden beers!

I was excited when the helles and hefe came out. Of course I got some but at my local store I think I was the only one as they are just sitting there. So get it when it first comes out as it may never get re ordered. Found the same thing when st benardus wit came out in cans

That is exactly what happened with me and the beers of Hofbrauhaus Freising. There just does not seem to be a strong demand for German brewed beers (at least in my area). But in contrast the German style beers brewed locally (e.g., Sly Fox, Sterling Pig, Victory, Neshaminy Creek, Workhorse, etc.) sell briskly and I am consistently able to buy US craft brewed German style beers fresh.

    Cheers!
