    Hey Advocates!

A nice, sunny and chilly morning for a new week, and I’m drinking La Goudale...

The talented, kind and generous @LeperJim sent me one of his doodle. Much appreciated sir! It’s very nicely done and thanks for the note next to it as well!

Good day BAs! Off to a sunny but chilly start to the day - no snow but a thick layer of frost. Thanks, @Shanex , for starting today's thread - that's quite the drawing from @LeperJim - tentacled and cyclopian, much like the antagonist in the old movie "The Atomic Submarine" which harkens back to some pulp fiction from the 20s and 30s.

Have a good Monday. Saturday was one of the worst days of my life, so glad that is all done now. Didn't drink yesterday. My gf got here around 11AM yesterday after my friend came over to hang out after I got off work at 6AM, and brought some mcdonalds. Sausage McGriddles. Me and Julia watched South Park for 3 hours and I went to sleep around 430PM and been out until 630AM. She brought some fiesta bake and a chili that had cinnamon and clove in it that was awesome. Just got the pic of the taco bake, but I asked for her to make it again lol. Never had a bad recipe from her. :sunglasses: Also I checked my keif catcher for the first time in a while and it was pretty full, so it's been a good morning so far.

Good morning folks, lovely day out there sunny and almost 10ºC. Back to digging I the cellar. Pulled out this 2017. Smooth and rich, a little vanilla, some horehound and a touch of alcohol.

Good morning, advocates! I'm enjoying one my favorite breakfast/lunch beers, Willettized - but sadly, my last bottle for the foreseeable future. :slight_frown:

They really are creepy drawings, his word not mine, but very intriguing. I am probably the last one to know anything useful about painted art, but the colors, main images, background images, images in images, all draw me in. Hell, even his letter is cool. Save that provenance for when he’s a gigantic artist selling painting for tens of thousand of dollars!

Good morning BA’s! Been a long time since I had a pre-noon breakfast beer, and subsequently even longer since I’ve been on WBAYDN page 1! But I worked all weekend and just got off call at 8am, so celebrating with a new to me beer.

Pours dark brown, opaque, 2 fingers width of dense very light tan head with good retention. Aroma is huge, rich coffee notes. Moderate strength barrel characters with great notes of bourbony vanilla. Taste doesn’t quite follow and is a bit of a let down. Coffee is there but it’s more generic bitterness than rich smooth coffee notes. Bourbon notes are there, but again it’s a bit harsh as opposed to smooth bourbony goodness. Not a ton of base beer characters are present, perhaps some caramel and very subtle roastiness. Mouthfeel is smooth, body on the fuller end for a brown ale but is welcomed. ABV is completely unnoticeable which is impressive for a double digit brown ale. It’s quite drinkable. Overall, it’s a good beer def has its pros and cons.

    4.5/4.5/3.75/4.25

Digging this new to me (but apparently several years old and probably now defunct) Keller Williams side project Kwahtro.

I'm starting off today with a Pisolino Birra Pilsner. It's a 5.5% Italian Style Pilsner from Zero Gravity in VT. It's a good looking beer. The nose is light sweet, grain and light hops. The flavor is a bit stronger and follows the nose. It's clean & tasty. Overall, I rated it 3.62, which is just a touch below it's BA average of 3.70. When I saw this one, I was very interested. Turns out that one is enough to satisfy my curiosity.

Worked yesterday, so home today, enjoying the fire in the fireplace and sipping a Triple Hazy from BrewDog. At 10.0% ABV, a bit of a mule kick, like Triple H:

    12 oz. can.
    Canned 02/10/21.

Moderate pour yields a one inch white head over a hazy light golden body with sticky lacing. Nose exhibits some floral/earthy notes with subtle tropical fruit and citrus fruit aromas as well. Taste is mostly citrus and slight tropical fruit with slight pine bitterness and citrus pith on the finish. Quite delicious! Nice feel and overall, a more than decent IPA which might be a more approachable offering in 3F's lineup for the hazybois among us.
    Cheers!

Here's a few kids at their Junior Prom?!?
