Saison Day (April 14, 2021)

First, I don't like them. However, I attempted to follow our fearless leader and have one for the occasion. I went to the local mega-grocery store and they offered not one. Not by a six-pack, twelve-pack, fifteen-pack, nor by singles. Before a judgment is made about the local, there are literally hundreds of varieties of APAs IPAs, AIPAs, NEIPAs, DIPAs, DHIPAs, DDHIPAs, and almost as many varieties of stouts available. No, not one, saison. The good news is I don't review a style of beer i don't like. The bad news is I don't expand my expertise. I'm OK with the former.

 

It just so happens that I had one sitting around. I may be out of IPA's, APA's, DIPA's, and TIPA's, but I had this Off Color Apex Predator. What a world, huh?

 

Okay, one more! @JohnniEMc it’s okay to not like saisons but don’t write them off completely. The style is incredibly vague. Seek this one out or let me know if you’re in CT in the next two months. The #SaYzOnCeLlAr is wide open for ya. Cheers.
