It’s a holiday in Massachusetts this Monday - Patriot’s day aka Marathon Monday; although that won’t run till October in deference to the bug.

Bonfire from New Trail. Their best beer... by far. Hey, if you ever thought about being a cicerone, don't be scared. Most of you could get past level 1 if you're motivated. Cheers.

I love my son, no doubt. But even I would have made him clean up before sitting at the dinner table. Holy...

Barley's Decisiveness. Love this dipa. Amazing. Big mango and passion fruit juice. Fairly bitter with a nice malt backing. Not too sweet. Light lingering warmth. Lingering resin drying. I love this!

    cheers

For a good 7-years plus this has been my favorite CT brewed West Coast IPA. I love that they graduated to 16oz cans and that allowed the fitting "Now With 25% More Beer!" on the can. When I first started drinking this beer it was only available at the brewery and on tap at a few select places. It seems plenty of on-site only breweries have transitioned nicely to canned distribution.

Wooly Pig Farm Brewery -- Rye Dunkel (Munich dunkel) - thanks to @Blogjackets for the beer...

Clear, dark brown body topped with a thick, foamy head. Rich, malty smell with a bit rye spiciness; roasted grain. Rich flavor, caramel notes with the rye adding a touch of spiciness; moderate malt sweetness; low-key bitterness. Medium body; soft and lightly velvety, almost thin in character; very mild residual sugar stickiness.

This beer brings some fine, well-rounded flavors to the palate. It has great eye appeal and the aroma is enticing. It does feel slightly weak, but is otherwise a very fine beer.

I thought of posting this to the New Beer Weekend thread, but already did that yesterday!

So here’s a new one (to me) and it’s what I’m drinking now.

    Spring Bier (Indeed Brewing)

Pours a brilliant (clarity) golden in color, topped with a pale/off-white head. Great lacing.

Neutral character in the nose: Pale malt and a light, sharper hop character, with a touch of on-style hop spiciness. The nose is perfectly in keeping with the style, an an exemplary stylistic tale from an American (Craft) brewer.

Light sweetness followed by the sharp hops on the first sip. Light scrubbing (carbonation) on the palate. A bit fuller bodied, and at 5.5% it is exactly as it should be.

    Lingering bitterness... Noble hop
character, and both a light herbal character and a very very light mineral note to the base.

    Very, very drinkable and approachable.

Overall I am a fan of the style (and I generally like beers from this brewery, also), so this one is an easy rating for me.

Very well done, and easily recommended to those who enjoy this style.

    Cheers!

I prefer hands on, too, but I've generally have had no real problems with buying from Discogs. There have been some questionable media grading, primarily with the vinyl, but nothing that that has been too bad for me to live with.

I’d like to try it again. Good taste but mediocre feel and body.
