The overlooked beer season is getting its due. Springbier, pulled straight from the tank, emerges gloriously unfiltered and naturally carbonated from the cold-fermentation and krausening process. In like a lion, out like a lamb—this Export Lager is full in flavor yet tender on the palate. Formerly called Fruhlingsbier, Springbier starts afresh with a new name, look and longer time in the tank for an even better tasting beer.

Straw golden body with a thick crop of frothy white head on top. Lacing is full. The aroma is perfect for this beer. Perfect blend of floral hop essence blends with a beautiful bready malt presence. This translates perfectly to the palate. A round, bready, grainy malt presence blends perfectly with the floral hop attributes. The beer has a nice thirst quenching aspect as well and has been my go to beer after bike rides. Medium to medium-full body with a nice amount of prickle from the carbonation. I've used the word perfect a few times in this review and nearly gave this one a perfect 5.0. I love a great Dortmunder Lager and this is right up there with the best of them. I would put this right there with Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold and Town Hall's Dortmunder Lager as the best of the best.

12oz can from the lager variety pack. Slammed after a walk with the family and the dogs
Look is a can. The taste is overly roasted and just too sweet. It tastes almost exactly like their maibock. But at least that had 7.5% - this tastes boozy but sits at 5 and a half only

Can. White head. Clear golden color.
Nice German lager. Bready, biscuity, with a touch of honey sweetness. Floral, zesty, crisp, grassy. Smooth, easy drinking.

Pours out of the can a crystal clear orange-gold with a finger of head and pretty good lacing. Smells like sweet bready malts and hay, and a little floral. Tastes very crisp and along the same notes as the nose, maybe less bready. Very good carbonation leaving the mouthfeel great and makes me keep reaching for my glass.

From a 12oz can:
Appearance: Clear yellow, good head.
Smell: Hay.
Taste: Starts with some breadiness, then mild sweetness, and a hay/grassy finish. Medium-light feel.
Overall: A nice maibock from Indeed, not particularly sweet or boozy (that's good!), just a solid bready-grassy beer. Indeed has some sneaky good lagers.

12 oz can.
Deep gold with a very slight haze. Sweet and bready malt with floral hops. Very delicate flavor that is balanced more towards the malt. Lightly sweet on the palate in the finish, which gives it the impression of a more full bodied beer than it actually is. Clean and smooth. Another impressive Minnesota lager.

Pours a brilliant (clarity) golden in color, topped with a pale/off-white head. Great lacing.
Neutral character in the nose: Pale malt and a light, sharper hop character, with a touch of on-style hop spiciness. The nose is perfectly in keeping with the style, an an exemplary stylistic tale from an American (Craft) brewer.
Light sweetness followed by the sharp hops on the first sip. Light scrubbing (carbonation) on the palate. A bit fuller bodied, and at 5.5% it is exactly as it should be.
Lingering bitterness... Noble hop
character, and both a light herbal character and a very very light mineral note to the base.
Very, very drinkable and approachable.
Overall I am a fan of the style (and I generally like beers from this brewery, also), so this one is an easy rating for me.
Very well done, and easily recommended to those who enjoy this style.

12oz can. Stamped on can bottom 'CANNED: 04/01/21 ENJOY BY: 07/30/21'.
Clear, pale amber colored body. One finger of white head maintains itself with vigorous rising bubble show.
Aroma of grass, lemon, and darker bread.
Taste maintains the grassy note of the nose, but brings forth lots of darker bread, honey, and lemon. Slightly spicy in the aftertaste.
Fuller mouth feel, with a higher bubble factor. Excellent carbonation.
Full in feel and flavor, this lager delivers. The honey is a pleasant note.

Pours a mostly clear golden color. Smell is malt, grass, bread. Taste is sweet with a crisp hop front some baked honey bread and malt in the finish. A sweet mouth feel would have preferred more crispness ,nicely made.

This is a well made lager. A touch too sweet for me, but otherwise a nice drinking Export Lager. Notes of lemon zest and honey. The body is creamy with a soft carbonation.

Previously branded as Fruhlingsbier.
This is the type of beers Indeed kicks out that separates them from many. An extremely well made export/dortmunder style...maybe lacks some of the minerallyness of a true dortmunder but this has a wonderful slightly sweet pils like maltiness. Touches of honey and bread....clean, great looking beer...
Bottom line: Terrific. Extremely well made Minnesota lager.
