I enjoy responding to myself. Because I am certain the person to whom I am responding knows what he is talking about.
I brought up and consumed the Pipeworks bombers. They were all OK.
I wonder if the bottles that went to distro were the ones which went bad.:slight_frown:

Between myself and a couple people I proxied for about 15 bombers direct from the Dojo were all bad from that same run when the infection started. Once they opened the Dojo, they didn’t distribute their BA stuff.

Yeah, I don't believe any of the infected beers were distroed at all. I feel like I saw a few BA bombers eventually get distroed but they weren't versions of Murderous/Jones Dog

They did make a couple exceptions. Just 1 or 2 though, and not any beers that ended up having infection issues

tasted grapey and green appley upon opening.

drank a 4 year old sticker monkey. Returned to PW hours later. Banger.

there is so much going on with this beer right now. Yum.

@Zoomslowik - this is your queue to tell me it is clearly sour.

It wasn't sour, but more fruity on the front end than I remembered.

I wish I had gotten more Cognac Jones Dog, I absolutely loved it out of the gate. Wonderful beer.

I’m assuming there’s no news on this front with COVID and all, but with Marz opening their new taproom in Bucktown/Logan this weekend it got me thinking of Pipeworks.

Did they still have tentative plans to open a taproom so we can actually drink some of their beers on draft on a regular basis?

I didn't see the announcement for the new Marz taproom opening. Are they starting construction or actually opening? Link?

Not that my opinion matters but really do not like the new regional categories. As a Chicago person, I'm sure other states in the GL forum were fed up with all of the Chicago-centric activity in the Great Lakes forum. If anything, breaking them down even further would be better than combining them.

I was thinking the same thing. Mainly though, because I didn’t want to get lumped in with the Iowa/Missouri people lol

Very forward thinking of BA. Any further erosion around the Great Lakes won’t get in the way of news pertaining to Pipeworks barrel program

I am interested in this barrel program at Pipeworks as I don't think any BA beer from them has ever come to MN. I think we just get Lizard King, Blood of the Unicorn, and Ninja vs Unicorn. I like them but they are all "vintage" by now. All I see is hazy from them now which I am not interested in.

I hope someone cleans up their beer entries on this site before I have to (317 current entries, seriously?). Otherwise it will be scorched earth if you leave it to me.
