Best beer friends!

One of my bestbeerfriends is a meat cutter, and likes to grill. We go through a lot of meat, beer, cheese, and beer.

We are not skinny Bois.

My best beer-drinking friend is my wife. We've been to almost 600 breweries and she usually keeps up with me when we share sampler flights. Maybe on the 3rd or 4th brewery that day she'll start to slow down or will quit, but she's a trooper and keeps going to the next place with me rather than calling it a day.

 

I'll throw in another case of having a significant other (of almost a decade) as my beer companion. I mention her often enough, and we bonded over beer as friends before we started dating.

However, other fun time come in the form of finding friends who find they "liked beer" once they found it wasn't all just the mass produced US / import stuff. This includes my dad and to a much lesser extent my mom.

On the "non-family" side, getting together with @pretzyl04 and his wife every so often to sample beers is always a fun time. They nicely open their home to us and we share beer (usually stouts and verticals) and conversation (and often snacks that our hosts provide).

As for a singular anecdote... our female host was the one who immediately picked out something bad with one of the BCBS years in the vertical we were doing. It happened to be the year that they had huge issues, and I had totally forgotten about it. I'm not sure how long it would've taken me to come to the conclusion that one (slightly aged) beer was off, and she did it immediately.

And of course, I'd be remiss not to mention that there have been some nice BA friends I've met up with over the years. I won't drop the usernames here, but I've enjoyed every in person meet up I've had over the years.

 

Well, that's gotta be confusing in moments of ecstasy; what with both of you screaming "OH! IPAHunter!" at the same time and all.

2 of the brewers in town, I count as best friends.

 

My neighbor is my beer best friend. He hosted a bomb ass bottle share in his garage in lieu of GABF. We are always trading cans, and grilled treats. Dude brought me over a tray of grilled bacon and green chike wrapped dove breasts and some goose meat slim Jim's. Solid friend.

 

Have several great beer friends, some of which I have had the pleasure of drinking beer they have brewed!
