    @LarryV - I never heard the Bonnie Raitt version before you mentioned it. I like what you and your band did to cover Max Crook's distinctive musitron which makes that tune memorable 60 years later. Preferred your version!

    Congratulations on your wedding @Schmittymack ! This was the first reference I recall seeing beyond my posts of Able Baker. I assume you were married in Vegas! Hope you also had a chance to have their Chris Kael Impale'd Ale, a standout among the several great beers they brew.

    I spent the morning trying to chase down the eclipse. Came back and just cracked open my Spiteful Beer. I plan to visit their brewery and Half Acre to have and pick up a few beers later today.

    Noiiiice, it’s a new beer in my glass today. Delirium Argentum.

    Named: “Hopped Amber IPA beer”. 7% ABV.

    Probably a fairly recent release, for a decent price. At the supermarket…

    Great one, would buy it again especially for a bit over 2€.

    look: 4.5 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.25

    Dark amber body, clear; outstanding head, thick, sticky, and frothy. Incredible smells; dark roasted grains and roasted nuts; wood-like char. The taste follows along the lines of the smell; mild chocolate notes with mild hop bitterness; sublimely rich sweetness. Medium body; smooth; moderate residual sugar presence.

    Schilling did a fine job creating a tasty and luxurious dark lager. The appearance and aroma are exceptional while the taste and mouthfeel are well-rounded and quite satisfying.

    Served at 51° F; canning data: 040521.

    Pale yellow body with a touch of haze; thin, soapy and white head. Excellent fresh lemon / lime scent; mandarin orange; freshly mown grass. The taste builds upon the smell; delicate pilsner malt--like backbone; very light bread crust; lemon and other citrus flavors; sweet Riesling wine element; low-key tartness. Medium body; juicy; very subliminal acidic nature with a touch of dryness towards the finish.

    Outer Range has produced a tasty, refreshing saison that goes well with the summer weather.

    Poured at 58° F; no canning data available.
