Good day BAs! After a rainy night (good for the garden), it looks like it may start off a decent day. Unless today's New Breakfast Beer is foreshadowing today's events:

I love metal, but not in my beer - rating 2.57, rDev -24%.

Hope your day, and beer improves @Ozzylizard !

@LarryV - I never heard the Bonnie Raitt version before you mentioned it. I like what you and your band did to cover Max Crook's distinctive musitron which makes that tune memorable 60 years later. Preferred your version!

Congratulations on your wedding @Schmittymack ! This was the first reference I recall seeing beyond my posts of Able Baker. I assume you were married in Vegas! Hope you also had a chance to have their Chris Kael Impale'd Ale, a standout among the several great beers they brew.

I spent the morning trying to chase down the eclipse. Came back and just cracked open my Spiteful Beer. I plan to visit their brewery and Half Acre to have and pick up a few beers later today.

Good morning BAs! I took yesterday off as a much needed cleanse day. Coffee time - FBS:

Bottled 1/25/21. Poured at 53°. Always coffeelicious. I’m going to organize and begin emptying the last storage unit later today. Another hot day in the 90s on tap here…Cheers and have a great day y’all!

Good day advocates and thanks @Ozzylizard for kicking the thread off!

Noiiiice, it’s a new beer in my glass today. Delirium Argentum.

Named: “Hopped Amber IPA beer”. 7% ABV.

Probably a fairly recent release, for a decent price. At the supermarket…

Great one, would buy it again especially for a bit over 2€.

    Cheers!

I’ve been listening to this Danish prog-metal band a lot:

Schilling Beer Co. -- Landbier Dunkel (rustic dark lager)

    4.33/5 rDev +7.2%
    look: 4.5 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.25

Dark amber body, clear; outstanding head, thick, sticky, and frothy. Incredible smells; dark roasted grains and roasted nuts; wood-like char. The taste follows along the lines of the smell; mild chocolate notes with mild hop bitterness; sublimely rich sweetness. Medium body; smooth; moderate residual sugar presence.

Schilling did a fine job creating a tasty and luxurious dark lager. The appearance and aroma are exceptional while the taste and mouthfeel are well-rounded and quite satisfying.

    Served at 51° F; canning data: 040521.

Outer Range Brewing Co. -- Abloom (foeder saison)

    4.15/5 rDev 0%
    look: 3.75 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

Pale yellow body with a touch of haze; thin, soapy and white head. Excellent fresh lemon / lime scent; mandarin orange; freshly mown grass. The taste builds upon the smell; delicate pilsner malt--like backbone; very light bread crust; lemon and other citrus flavors; sweet Riesling wine element; low-key tartness. Medium body; juicy; very subliminal acidic nature with a touch of dryness towards the finish.

Outer Range has produced a tasty, refreshing saison that goes well with the summer weather.

Poured at 58° F; no canning data available.

Good Thursday Afternoon BAs! Warm and humid day here. Looks like it's going to rain soon, luckily I have beer to drink:

Logyard Prognosticator Porter, a semi local beer that I've never had before. Picked it up on discount since it's a bit aged, but still quite delicious.

The Tulip of Doom now carries the remnants of a can Timothy Hay-Z from Iron Horse. The name of the beer is the best thing about it.

It’s a hot one, the promised lake effect breeze is failing to reach 2ish miles off shore.

Starting off with a new to me beer from one of my Chicago favorites, Spiteful.

    Spiteful Buzz Worthy

    Brewer Notes:
This is a 16 oz draft pour into a nonic. 6% ABV, a Pale Ale with Honey. Per my discussion with their bartender, this is their Stubborn Sally base, brewed with honey. Hops are Simcoe, Citra, Amarillo.

Appearance: Clear crisp clean faint straw colour base, bright fine fizzy bubble head leaves thin lacing. Light carbonation. 3.75

    Aroma:
Light grassy aroma, lemon, citrus with the honey coming through well. Enticing, but light in strength. 3.75

    Taste:
Consistent with the aroma, but stronger. The honey leads, gives gravitas, creaminess and wonderful flavor, and a nice balance to the bitter hop combo. Yes please. 4.25

    Mouthfeel:
Light fizzy persistent carbonation, medium body, honey adds a creamy weight to this pour. Easy drinking, crisp clean finish. Leans bitter overall and lightly dry, honey and Citra doing its best to keep the bitterness in check. 4.0

    Overall:
This is a nice easy great Summer offering. Light and easy to drink, firm bitterness balanced with a wonderful honey component. They just released this one and I want to complement them for another wonderful beer. Need to hunt down Stubborn Sally in the future to compare and contrast. Really glad I stopped in the taproom today! 4.25

Chill 80s mix here I’ll share with you. It’s been too long since my last visit, glad things are returning to normal.

Trellis from New Trail. Here's that rare occasion where I'm not completely turned off by Sabro. Thank goodness for the other hops that were included. Strong notes of candied pineapple. Is it amazing? No. Is it pretty good? Hell yes. Peace to that. Peace to you & yours. Much love.
