Here to pile on the love of All Pixel Everything. Was up there Saturday, and got "saddled" with a 4-pack because I couldn't get my friend to split his with me.

Drank 3 and gave a 4th one away already, so bought a second 4 pack yesterday when it hit distro. I never do that. It's great.

Anybody had the Porter (Niu) or the Saison (Ornamental) that are available now? Both sound like nice fall beers but I'd love some feedback before pulling the trigger on 8 new beers for the fridge.

*Walks out of Bitter Pops with Rothaus Pils*
*P3 guy walks by with cases of new beer*

"Huh, it's been awhile since I had something from them, should see what's up; hopefully nothing that'll make me want to turn around..."
*Reads about collab with Other Half*
"Goddamnit, hopefully it isn't that good..."
*Reads posts in this thread, orders a 4-pack*

    I hate you all.

If not for this thread, I'd have completely missed this Other Half collab. I second the sentiments of hate.

This post so thoroughly confused me - at first I thought you were referencing the Other Half - Rothaus collaboration: https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/33510/553159/

Late to the party here. Picked up All Pixel Everything over the weekend & this is easily my favorite NEIPA I've had all year, if not the last couple years. Appreciate the Dairy Free transparency on the label and also that Phase Three did not collaborate with OH on setting the price. I don't think collabs like this typically get made again but hopefully this one does.

    Dissenting opinion here...respectfully, of course.

For a "double dry hopped" beer, I found this both very dry and kinda tart. Not the citrus forward, soft DDH vibe I go for.

I didn't hate it or anything, but hearing my guy @Jaycase wax poetic on this, I must be missing something. Or, I just have a trash palate*.

*I probably have a trash palate.

EDIT: Talking about the Phase Three / Other Half collaboration, DDH All Pixel Everything. Just adding context, as I hadn't quoted/replied to anyone here.

No, no, no on the trash palate. I'm certain I agree with you on many beers (and even if not, can appreciate your perspective). I think it just comes down to preferences as you highlighted. I do prefer beers on the drier side of the spectrum so I can understand the dryness here might not be as appealing to others. Most of the NEIPAs I've tried lately come off as either overly sweet to me and/or too juicy juice for my liking so this beer was in my taste preference wheelhouse certainly.

Personally, I didn't think it escaped the standard Pixel Density wheelhouse far enough for the accolades here. A fine hazy in any regard, but not world class. Either way, it was enjoyed.

    I aim to confuse!
Exactly my feelings on this beer as well. I've stopped seeking out NEIPAs in large part because aside from palate fatigue, almost all of them are inevitably sweeter than I'm looking for; I went from being one of the biggest Hop Butcher fanboys on the planet to skipping their beers completely, because they all come across too sweet to me nowadays.

APE is basically exactly what I want from an NEIPA: It's got a fuller mouthfeel and is sweeter than your standard IPA, got a ton of hop-forward flavor, and it's got just enough bitterness that I don't get sick of it half a can in.
Again, my exact thoughts here too. Love the lack of lactose (I'm so tired of it in most beers), and I was extremely happy to see the beer wasn't $23 a 4/pack.

Even if this doesn't get done again, I'm hoping P3 gets enough positive feedback that they'll consider making more stuff in a slightly drier, more bitter style.

Isnt that what Tonal Range is? A drier NEIPA?

Never had that one, I've mostly had P3's more conventional "midwest-style" (or whatever the hell you'd call it) NEIPAs.

"For Tonal Range we experimented with dialing back that residual sweetness but made sure to not lose the creamy body that’s so important to us in our hazies. Tonal Range is a 7.5% double IPA redesigned to drink like some of our favorite hazies from the North East. Slightly dryer, carbonated higher, and packed with Citra and El Dorado hops"

I will say, I'm always surprised more places around here don't carb their NE beers more; it was the one thing that stood out to me when I had Trillium for the first time.

Drink hazy from Rev and Half Acre if you want drier and more carbonated beer. Riverlands is making some rather dry hazy ipa as well.

Couldn't agree with this more. These are about the only hazies I buy.

get your hands on some phantasm, i love it. i wouldnt say i like it better than regular pixel density but its a fantastic offering. white grape for days, kinda reminds of the on the vine they originally did but fluffier and with that citra bite. really happy i picked this up over some of the other releases today.
