Unbeknownst to Founders, NyQuil is already a year-round release at major chain drugstores.

Go figure, just a few weeks ago I was poking around their website and found Frootwood listed. I figured it was retired but I was still intrigued and want to see if I could find an old bottle somewhere. Now I don't have to!

There are better uses for cherries.

I really liked this beer last time around so I'm glad to see that they'll try it again.

What a waste of bourbon and maple syrup barrels that could have been used to make more CBS.

12oz is actually a relatively palatable serving of this beer. The bombers last time around are waaaaaay to much.

    They were 12oz last time.

Wasn’t it stronger than 8% last time it was released?

The listing here from 2016 shows 8% so I can only assume it’s the same as last time. Anyone else surprised it’s the #16 “Fruit and Field” beer?

I’m excited to try it. It really doesn’t sound like something I would enjoy but I’m definitely curious. You didn’t view it favorably the last time you had it?

Something I don’t think the market really asked for, but whatever.

Nope, gave it a 3.94, which for me is low. I mostly dinged it on flavor, not much cherry, no bourbon detected. Also, not many Fruit and Field style beers impress me. Guess I don't like the taste of Field. I may review it again though, since my tastes have changed a lot in the intervening five years.

Would you say there’s any comparison between Frootwood and a beer like Blushing Monk or Rubaeus?

I'd have to try them side-by-side, but I liked Rübæus (4.14), and loved Blushing Monk (4.25). Then again, I prefer raspberries over cherries.

I seem to as well as far as fruit in beer goes. Have you had Cerise? I too really like Blushing Monk.

It’s the only other cherry beer I’ve ever seen from Founders. I’m gonna side by side them when the Frootwood comes out to see what similarities they share.
